Summary I originally got into 3D printing because I needed custom Raspberry Pi cases for Digital Signage and nothing available commercially met my needs. This remix started years ago, but I kept adding and changing it to meet the needs of my current projects and hobbies. The original cover was discarded and a new template was created along with the hats. The bases were modified to remove extra pieces and accept commonly available screws. The Hats are easy to customize, and the tall version has room to use pin headers on both the pi and components mounted to the hat. This makes prototyping simple with easy-to-order parts that often have pin headers pre-soldered. Later, the short hat can be used for soldered connections and more polished appearances. In the future I will link to my github repos with schematics/code to install a few fun systems. These include a KODI media center (solid top and vented bottom) and piHome with piHole/VPN/NodeRED (pictured with VPN LED and OLED on/off toggle). EDIT: I am posting these especially to help people who may be startingout where I did. The blank hats and solid cover all have solid surfaces onthe top to make customizing them simple. It is a great learning experienceto add your own logos, screens, switches, and components.......withouthaving to deal with strange edges or too many foreign concepts insomething like Fusion360.
It's a great feeling when you can point at something and say "I built that!"Nothing ruins that feeling faster than being asked why your invention hasstrange extra holes, or "Designed by Nilok" etched all over the case. I willcontinue to add to this collection, and I may add my logos to a few of mycomplete project sets - but the base set will always remain plain.
