RASIC is one of the CAP tools (Change Acceleration Process) used in defining the responsibilities to the team members who are part of the activity. It is an independent tool hence not to be mandatorily used only in a Six Sigma project, it can be used in any activity where you have multiple activities to be done. It is one of the most important change management tool to be used when one would want an activity to be successfully completed within the specified time frame. There are other Change management tools which an activity owner may use, other than RASIC, like ARMI (Approver, Resource, Member and Interested Party) and RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consult and Informed), however RASIC is considered to be more robust but not mandatory. RASIC

RASICAn important tool used in Lean Six Sigma Projects and outside RASIC is a

widely used tool to allocate roles to people involved in the initiative.

RASIC is an acronym which stands for Responsible, Approve, Support,

Inform and Consult.

For making a RASIC one of the first things you should do is create a Work

Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Work Packages, once done you should

look at who are the participants to your project and list down their role.
