This information is subject to change without notice. www.fetcorp.com RapidFET™ Probe Overview RapidFET Probe is an external module that allows you to run RapidFET Professional without needing a Server running on one of the existing Processors in the system. RapidFET Probe contains a Processor Endpoint and a Switch that facilitates multi- port interconnectivity into a target system. The RapidFET Server exists in Flash and the Endpoint and Switch are pre-configured for the intended operation. Using RapidFET Probe and appropriate adapters (XMC, AMC, SMA, SFP, SATA, VPX, CX4, etc) almost any system can be quickly accessed with RapidFET. While shipping your products with RapidFET servers already in Flash makes it easy to diagnose a system at any time, RapidFET Probe will allow you to instantaneously connect to any RapidIO system without the need to power it down or reset a Processor. This can save you significant time and allow you to analyze systems in their failed state providing you with invaluable information regarding the source of the problem in the lab or in the field. RapidFET Probe options RapidFET Probe2.0: Supports 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5.0 and 6.25* Gbps data rates and is based on Gen2 RapidIO devices. The ability to support 5.0 Gpbs is a key feature for many of the new RapidIO processor and FPGA endpoints that are available today. Some of the new features associated with this Probe include an error packet generator and convenient front panel port train and error status LEDs. * Note: 6.25 Gbps operation is only possible with short 50cm cables and may require DFE tuning of SERDES depending upon the target hardware used.
