On Saturday we will teach you how to use the Hunter Star tool, how to build the blocks needed for your quilt and you will be making your blocks. On Sunday we will be playing with design layouts and sewing the center of your quilt. Most people will be able to finish the center of the quilt during these two days. All of the quilts pictured here are made with 8 fat quarters of lights and eight fat quarters of dark. The lay-out of these colors is never ending. What you see here is only a tiny sample of the possibilities from Deb’s book. If you have always wanted to make a Hunter Star quilt and you can sew a good 4” seam this class is for you. Now is the time for you to learn how to quilt. This Lucky Stars pattern will be your first quilt. Learn how to quilt and start having more fun than you can imagine. This quilt can be made any size from crib to king (although we suggest starting with the throw size) by using fat quarters. The color combinations are endless and we will be glad to help you select your fabrics.

Several people have asked about having an Open Sew time in the evening for those unfortunate people that haven’t been able to retire yet. So...at least for September and October we have scheduled Open Sew on the 3rd Thursday of the month. We will try to continue having at least one night a month for Open Sew from then on. So grab your working quilting buddies and plan and evening of fun sewing. Please remember that Open Sew doesn’t provide you with instruction, rather it is an opportunity for you to have a concentrated time to quilt.
