Stretch identified: River Mindhola flowing along Sachin having 10 KM stretch

and is non-perennial river.

Latitude : 21o3’17.53” N

Longitude: 72o52’47.31” E

Towns mentioned: Sachin

Background of pollution causes into river stretch

River Mindhola flows passing from villages in BardoliTaluka and merges into Arabian Sea via

Sachin. The domestic discharge is done in River Mindhola. The downstream of the river

Mindhola witnesses domestic discharge via creeks. There is no industrial discharge from GIDC

or notified area in this stretch. This stretch along Sachin is basically the downstream part which

is not contaminating the sweet water.

2. Municipal Sewage Generation and Treatment

Name of towns/villages/area which are discharging their domestic sewage into river

stretch

Total domestic water consumption:-2 MLD

Town identified by CPCB is Sachin which are discharging their domestic sewage into this river

stretch are Kanakpur – Kansad, Pardi, Sachin GIDC, etc.
