Student of Interior Design & Decoration have vast scope in the field of industrial, commercial, residential as well as

All the class rooms are spacious and equipped with Audio-visual aids such as overhead projector, LCD

Projector etc. All classrooms are properly ventilated & having adequate circulation space.

The Suryadatta computer centre is well equipped with computing resources for catering to the

academic needs of the students. The computer lab has 32 higher end terminals. Students have

unlimited access to internet at these nodes. Softwares available in the lab are Windows XP server, MS

Office, Auto-CAD, Google Sketchup etc. The lab can be accessed by the students for about 6 hours a

day. Since PIAT has integrated computers for information technology into the learning process, many

courses at the institutes use appropriate computer based models.

Pune Institute of Applied Technology has a well equipped studio replete with audio-visual aids such as

OHP, LCD, Audio system. The studio is exclusively designed for additional input such as seminars, guest

lectures, presentation etc. Interaction with Consultants, Practising Architects and Interior designs

enriches the students by providing them the experience of business and profession on wide ranging

topics from Academics to Time Management, Personality Development, Yoga, Stress Management to

Global Business Practices.

Eligibility : a) Eligibility for 2 Years (Full Time ) DIDD (MSBTE Approved) : I) Any candidate who has successfully completed

10th level of schooling from a statutory board, that is SSC or equivalent from any stream of subject is eligible for admission.

Those who have appeared for 10th Examination & waiting for the result can also apply for provisional admission.

Admission confirmation is subject to clearance of 10th / SSC during same academic year.

exhibition “AURA”. It is a theme based exhibition by means of which students gets a vibrant platform to

showcase their hidden talent and art. This exhibition also provides good opportunity to display their work and

get the placement assistance as many Architects, Interior Designers, Builders, Suppliers, Service providers visit

this exhibition.

Being a theme based exhibition, every year for the decorum we have used various themes like Under Water,

Seven Wonders, Best from the waste, Garage, Ajanta caves, Palace, Reflection, Motion etc. Through the

exhibition we have tried to put focus on some of the social issues like joint family and nuclear families, old age

homes etc. Even we had given free service of design consultancy to the society. These themes are adding

unique identity and interest to the exhibition.

Every year PIAT students and faculty members work day & night to make the event successful. During the

exhibition student exhibit their projects, models, paintings, handicraft and portfolios. This event is open for all.

It has been receiving tremendous response every year. This is one of the most awaited event for all the students

and faculty members. Parents are also looking forward for this exhibition every year.

This new-fangled edition of our “METEORS” is the very footstone of our success towards eliciting a bulletin

defining the modus operandi of our institute ‘SEF’S PIAT’. Meteors is a booklet which displays the various

works and achievements by our ex-students, ie. “Our shooting stars.” These students have moved really fast

into the field of design to create a bright future for their career. They shine like a shooting star in the field of

interior design. This book is an initiative to give a platform to our ‘meteors’ to show the world their work and

creativity. And to motivate the ‘new comers’ in the field to be one of them. Our only intention behind

publishing the book is to encourage all our students to work harder and harder towards becoming the

brightest stars in our field. This being our very first edition we intend to elucidate entire year’s curriculum, the

trend setters, our dictum and our purpose while scripting this. We would like to disclose sincere gratitude to

our Principal Mr. Ajit D. Shinde, who has been the guiding light behind the advent of the annuals.

PIAT has a Placement Cell to facilitate the students being employed in reputed Architectural and Interior

Designing firms as well as known Builders. We guide the students to enroll with Institute of Indian Interior

Designers (IIID) through which they can get the jobs in Multinational firms. Every year most of the students

get placed through this Placement Cell.

After completing the course of DIDD you can go for Advance course in Landscaping, Interior Design,

Vastushastra, Construction Management etc. Students can join any Architectural or Interior Designing

firm as an Assistant Designer to start with or they can also work as freelancer on their own projects.
