ARP – Decorative Molding Removable Access Panel

RF (Removable Front) - Entire front fascia lifts straight up 3/4" and removes. Vent is easily installed and fascia in replaced. J-Series has a 14" deep rear box and P, Z200 has a 16". There is a 5/16" reveal on the front frame to box.

RT - (Removable Top) - Base of hood is installed along with ventilation. After hookups the Top of hood is placed on top. 3/4" clearance is needed between hood top and ceiling.

RT – Base of the hood will be installed with the ventilation. After all hook ups are complete – the chimney top will be attached. You will need a minimum of ¾” clearance to lower chimney on guides.

NOTE: On RT and RF hood there are important structural components which cannot be compromised. Any cutting or moving of any structural component will immediately void all warranties and may compromise the structural integrity of the hood.

Hybrid Panels for Paint Grade Hoods

- Paint Grade hoods can now be ordered with hybrid doors. These doors will have hard maple frames and

MDF panels, flat or raises. Paint Grade maple hardwood panels – (flat or raised) are still available

MDF/HDF for Paint Grade Hoods

Now available as an optional paint grade material for the body of our hood, to replace 1/2" maple veneered MDF, MDF without veneer, to replace 3/4" Maple Plywood, 3/4" plywood with HDF (high density fiber outer layer. Both of these materials.....Paint grade with maple veneer is still available.

NEW STANDARD SIZES - New standard sizes on the P, S, Z200 and J hoods. Even size widths are now standard 36, 42, 48, 54 and 60”

Common Questions:BUILDING CODES: Each city, state have their own building codes. Those codes will supersede any recommendations made in this catalog. Please refer building code questions to your local inspector since they will be responsible for the interpretation of the code.

FINISHING – Stanisci Design does not offer any finishing. Your hood will be sanded to 180 grit. We will drop ship into the kitchen dealer or to the cabinet manufacturer that you have specified.

PANELS – When ordering a hood with a door – you can pick any of the frame choices with any of the panels. For example a shaker style door would be 445 / flat

MOLDINGS – The majority of hoods can be purchased with several different molding styles Classical, Simple or Basic. A hardwood base option (no molding) is also available. Molding is on base of hood – not the top crown. Top crown is supplied in field.

HOOD HEIGHT: All calculations for height are assuming you are mounting the hood 30” above range or 66” off of the floor. Some cook tops or local building codes may require you mount the hood higher. Please include their additional requirements in all of your calculations.

PAINT GRADE PANELS – When choosing paint grade – you can select either MDF or Hardwood for your raised or flat panels depending on your finishers preference

RENDERINGS: Libraries are available for most rendering systems. 2020 is available on our website while most others are available on the software’s partner website.

MODIFICATIONS: Yes. We will modify hoods as requested.

VENTILATION OPTIONS: We have value liners, stainless mesh and stainless baffle liners from 300-1500 cfm. We can also custom design around most vents.

VENTILATION: Our ventilation is in stock and can be shipped same day if ordered in the AM.

TSCA / CARB: Our hoods are TSCA /CARB compliant and will come with all appropriate labels.

REMOVABLE Options: There are several options with removable panels depending on the style of hood. Most hoods have one or several options. Refer to page 3.

Differences between chimney hoods

• Chimney hoods have several different base types available within each style. For example you can get a RSS on a G, T or C hood.

• The main differences are the size and shape of the pyramid

• Z300, G and T hood come standard with vertical grain but horizontal can be requested

• C hoods come standard with horizontal grain but vertical can be requested

Sorrento hood supports are a totally new product. Specifically designed to be placed under wood range hoods they offer a distinctive visual statement and additional storage.

Different widths and styles are available with standard built in spice racks.

Most hoods look good with a 6” hood support, these designs include

G, T, E, D, B, M, Q, H2

Other hoods can accommodate the wider 9” hood supports and look proportional. These hood designs include the H, N and U.

Custom hoods can also include hood supports.

There are three options to be selected when specifying a hood support

1.) Side type:

A.) Solid flat slab on both sides

B.) Door panels on both sides.

C.) Hybrid slab on one side door panel on the other we call this a hybriddesign, they are sold in mirror pairs.

2.) Door Front: 9” wide Hood Supports can accommodate either a door on the face or a slab panel, 6” must have a slab panel or a door with a flat center panel.

3.) Bottom Plate: All supports with or without bottom plate will be 28” or 30” tall

Please note that fillers with be added to the hood for the supports to sit under and the liner specified will be reduced by the width of the supports. The hood must be wider then the cooking surface under it and many building codes require spacing between the cooking surface and flammable objects. Please follow local codes.

Custom Quoting Procedure:

1. Communicate what the hood or valance you are looking for looks like. This does not need to be to scale or have all the detail. We have found pictures or drawings are usually the easiest and quickest method to communicate the essence of the design you are looking for. Common things sent to us are.

a) Pictures

b) Hand drawn rough sketches

c) Catalog pages of current designs with the modifications identified.

2. Identify the wood species, width and height of the hood or valance.

3. Fax to us at 248-572-6884 or email at [email protected]

4. Stanisci Design will provide you a quote for your project. 98% of all custom quotes are completed within one business day. During this part of the quoting process, Stanisci Design will make recommendations on any changes which would reduce cost or otherwise improve the project. If you are having us modify a hood with a competitors ventilation, unless otherwise requested, we will also provide a quote with a comparable ventilation from Stanisci Design. This will allow you to compare units.

5. At time of order, Stanisci Design will provide a CAD drawing if necessary which will ensure we have adequately captured all your requirements.
