Random Acts Of Christmas Kindness

Every Year I paint a hundred or so Pins, and gift them away to total strangers. Whomever I feel, is in need of a little Christmas Spirit. I began Posting the Free Pattern Sheets, like this one, on Social Media, to share with Other painters and crafters, in the hope

that they would, in turn, practice a Random Act of Christmas Kindness. I was NOT disappointed! So this Is Your Challenge for this year... Make a few or make hundreds... share them with anyone that you believe could use a little kindness this holiday season.

Give Freely, Give Often and Give with A Generosity of Spirit! A Random Act Of Christmas Kindness..... is also a gift you give yourself.

You will Need:

1/4 angled shader, 10/0 Liner, #4 Flat Shader

Misc:Graphite Paper, Pencil, Glue Gun and Pin Backs,

Small White Pom Poms, Selection of Stamps, Holiday Greetings stamps, or small pattern

To Begin.

Trace the line drawing to the Tag or draw it on with a pencil.

The Hat:Base coat the Hat with Tuscan Red. Stamp the hat with a Holiday Greeting or with a pattern or Both.Shade the Hat along the top of the beard area with a float of thinned Paynes Grey. Let it dry then apply a wash of thinned Tuscan red over the hat.. Let it dry and apply a light coat of the Galaxy Glitter to the Hat. Dry brush the top of the hat with a little Warm White.

The Nose:Base the Nose with Cotton Candy. Shade the Bottom of the nose with a float of thinned Tuscan Red. Highlight with a float of thinned Warm White. Add a small dot of Titanium White to the top of the Nose.

The Beard:base the beard area with a coat of Slate Grey. Let it dry. apply a layer of fine strokes of thinned Warm White to create a rather choppy look. Let it dry and repeat with Titanium White. Shade the the triangle of the bear and moustache with a float of thinned Paynes Grey.

Finishing Up: Glue a small white Pom Pom , A jingle bell, a bead and ribbon or a small wooden star to the top of the hat. Use a glue gun to adhere the pin Back to the back of the pin. Attache the completed pins to the RAK paper tags and give them away with abandon. One small act of kindness can change everything!!

RANDOM ACTS OF CHRISTMAS KINDNESS.I am a firm believer that if you cannot do big things, then do small things in abundance. The Holiday Season is often difficult for some, and the stresses of everyday life during the season can feel compounded. Try brightening someones day with this little gift. Give them to the Cashier at your favourite shop, the bank teller , the elderly lady in line behind you or anyone that you think could use a dose of Christmas Cheer. It can be a total stranger or the lady next door. A small and simple act of kindness can do a great deal to make a persons Holiday Season feel a little brighter!!
