Based upon past performance, everyone at RCS is looking forward to this year’s “Randolph Red Reward” Program. The goal of this successful program is to en-courage behaviors exhibited by successful students. The program will run for eight weeks from February 5 through March 30 and will recognize students who exhibit the following behaviors: marked improve-ment in effort, marked improvement in grades, excellent attendance, consistent excellent effort, and consistent excellent grades.

The program will work as follows: all school employees will have 10 Ran-dolph Red Reward tickets to distribute to students who they see exhibiting these behaviors. Students will then turn in a portion of the ticket for a prize drawing at the end of the eight-week period. The goals of the program include encouraging and teaching the behaviors of successful students, recognizing student excellence, and focusing on a positive school-wide behavior modifi cation program.

“The Randolph Red Reward program was very successful last year. Both stu-dents and staff noticed the positive impact of the program on the school’s environ-ment. I’m looking forward to this year’s program.” said Secondary Principal Mr. Davison.

Local businesses are invited to become involved in the Randolph Red Reward Program by donating prizes or gift cer-tifi cates. “All donations will be greatly appreciated! We will be happy to receive anything a business would be willing to contribute - coupons, gift certifi cates, prizes, etc.,” said Mr. Davison. To donate, please call 358-7007.

Students and staff enjoyed themselves at the Annual Elementary Holiday Concert this year. Students and parents were treated to tap dancing reindeer (fi ve teachers from our elementary teaching staff), numerous classroom perfor-mances and even a skit which involved our fi fth and sixth grade teachers.

Below, sixth grade students really look the part as teachers daydreaming about a snow day in the chorus concert titled, “The Big Chill.” The bus driver and gym teacher were especially convincing!
