Membership Report by
Susan Appleby, Executive Director
The goods news this month is we set a new record of 54 new memberships in the last fiscal year,
ending on March 31st, 2015. Membership dues make up nearly 30% of our annual revenue from
donors. Guild Membership is what makes our organization run. We rely on our members for at-
tendance and support for our fundraising events, our Author Talks and as the base for our fabu-
lous corps of volunteers in the Book Cellar and on our Board of Directors.
Yet, we still need broader community support. In order to sustain the future and growth of this
library in the community of Rancho Santa Fe, we must grow the membership. Our best advocates
in the community are YOU, our current members! So in the coming year, in addition to your con-
tinued support through the gifts of your time, talent and treasure …you can partner with us to
grow the Guild by ‘Asking a Friend’! Invite a friend to an Author Talk, a fundraising event or one
of our regular programs. Tell someone about the Book Cellar or let them know we have volunteer
opportunities there. With your support, in all these ways, we will ensure the future of this Rancho
Santa Fe Library for future generations!!
DID YOU KNOW? Guild Volunteers Needed! We’re looking for Book Cellar
Substitute Cashiers. Call the Guild Office at (858) 759-8421.
Book Cellar Donations: We gratefully accept your gently
used books, DVDs, and CDs as donations to the Book Cellar.
100% of the proceeds from the Book Cellar benefit the RSF
Library. Either way, our community benefits from your dona-
tions. No encyclopedias. Books must be in good condition.
THANK YOU!
