RANCH AT BRUSHY CREEK

Hello Neighbors: As many of you may already know, we are the Neat Family. Seriously, Neat is our last name. We are incredibly humbled and thankful for The Ranch at Brushy Creek neighborhood. When Wendy was diagnosed May 24th, 2014 with abdominal cancer, we had no idea how this amazing neighborhood was going to come along side us and bless us beyond measure. We can never thank you all enough for all that you have done! From neighbors helping facilitate fundraisers, dropping by to say a kind words, pray for our family, running lemonade stands, house cleaning, and countless other acts of kindness we were truly blown away at how this community....our community came together to support our family. In Wendy’s final days with us she taught us a lot about courage, faith, hope, and love. Some may say she lost her battle with cancer on August 23rd, however we believe because she remained faithful, never lost her courage to battle this terrible disease and because we believe she is in a much better place now, she actually won her battle with cancer. Wendy’s final words were, “If you’re gonna do it, shine!” I believe you all did just that as a community! Thank you!!

-- Eric, Trey, Zion, & Micah Neat

THANK YOU from the Neat Family

RANCH AT BRUSHY CREEK

Bob and Georganne Duron have lived in the Ranch at Brushy Creek for seven years.  They downsized a year ago, after Bob’s mother passed away – but decided to stay in the R@BC where they had made so many wonderful friends over the years!    They moved to the Austin area from Houston in 1994.

Bob is a local Real Estate Agent and Broker.  He sold new homes for eight years before becoming a Realtor a decade ago.    He also has extensive property management experience.  Bob is from Beaumont and is a U.S. Army Veteran.

Georganne has worked in sales, training, management and recruiting most of her life.   She is a certified Workplace Violence Prevention trainer, as well as assists with marketing for anti-bullying and sales training programs.

Bob and Georganne have no children from their 35 years together.  However, Bob does have a 45-year old daughter from his first marriage, who lives in Tennessee.

Everyone knows Georganne and Bob best for their beloved furry and feathered family of rescue pets.   Georganne is passionate about helping those who have no voice, whether human or animal, and has volunteered in the local rescue community for many years.   She also now runs her own rescue website, a new small online pet products store and a monthly rescue networking group.

Rhea Choudhary, she is in second grade @ Patsy Sommer. She decided to dance Indian Classical with latin music at River walk.

We moved to this neighborhood in last year September from Richmond, Virginia. We fell in love with Austin right after the move, and I personally consider this move as one of my best decisions, though I was very nervous to move from east coast to Texas after spending a decade in Virginia. I  live here with my daughter Rhea, she is seven, and when she is not in

R@BC KIDS

school she is learning dance or Karate.  We love R@BC for two reasons: great neighbors and

wonderful community. This community is like a family to us, it amazes me how everyone stepped up for Wendy's family and I only hope that I knew her during her good days, though I have never met her but I feel I have known her forever because of R@BC. We are so happy we made a decision to move to R@BC.

 Thanks,Shilpa Choudhary

DOMS or Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness is that gradual onset muscular discomfort you feel within a day or 2 after a work out and may be accompanied by reduced range of motion, inflammation, reduced strength and joint stiffness. This is perfectly normal is a result of your muscles recovering and getting stronger from being pushed in a work out that was likely more intense, of longer duration or new to you. It is actually the eccentric – or muscle lengthening – portion of an exercise that elicits the tissue break down that your body then so remarkably repairs.

If you are performing the exercise properly and pushing yourself hard enough, don’t worry that your lack of pain means no gain. People experience, or don’t, DOMS differently based on the type of activity, their genetics and other factors. The end goal should not be to see how much suffering you could produce in the days following a work out as that is counterproductive to sticking to a regular routine and to muscle breakdown repair without damage! As your body becomes more accustomed to an exercise and strengthened from prior DOMS episodes, your frequency and severity of future episodes will decrease. DOMS symptoms can be

Post Workout Soreness – Thank Your Friend DOMSalleviated through Epsom salt baths, sports massage, hot and cold showers, sleep and a nutrient rich diet supplemented with Omega-3 fatty acids. If you experience acute pain during the work out or if soreness and inflammation continue for several days or worsen over time, you may need to seek the advice of a Medical Professional.

Feel free to share any questions with me or topics for the future. Be well!Renee Geist, Renegade Inside Out Solutions, [email protected], www.facebook.
