Purpose
To verify the UE receive short message successfully
Initial conditions
1. UEa and UEb have registered the SMS service.
2. Set the correct short message center (SMC) address in UEa and UEb.
3. UEa and UEb have their locations updated successfully in VLR
4. Trace the Iu interface.
Test procedure
1. UEa sends a short message “12345” to UEb.
2. The short message “12345” is sent to UEb from SMC.
Result
1. UEa can send the short message successfully.
2. UEb can receive the message successfully.
3. The monitored message sequence is correct.
4. CN sends the paging message through the Iu interface.
5. After the paging is responded, CN uses the message “CP-DATA” to send the short message
and the time postmark to the UEb.
