A vibrating Raas-Garba event

“Ramzat—2015” was organized at

Smt. S. R. Patel Engineering College,

Dabhi-Unjha on 10th October, 2015 for

Navratri Celebration among students

and the staffs of the college. The objec-

tive of the event was to revive the feel

of the rich traditional and cultural val-

ues among our new generation. Special

Awards were given to various partici-

pants to encourage their efforts. The

function started with “Vibrant Youth Eve” from 5:00 P.M. To 7:00 P.M. Then

at 7 o’ clock there was Aarati; and then

all the students accompanied with their

parents took dinner. At 8 o’clock the

Raas-Garba commenced. Respected

Chairman Shri Ramesh H. Patel was

present during the event along with his

family. While commencing the Raas-

Garba events the rules and regulation

were declared. Whole College partici-

pated with zeal and enthusiasm during

the event. Most of the students and

staffs were beautifully dressed up in

traditional attire. Whole college campus was brilliantly decked up with lights and

decoration. The event was a great fun and enjoyed by one and all. The Garba and

other traditional songs were played as per demand of the participants. The whole

event continued for three hours. At the end awards were declared and handed over

to the winners. Awards for Best Dressing and Best Performance were given to both

girls and boys students. An award of Best overall performance was given to a fe-

male and a male faculty. Shri Ramesh H. Patel, himself honored the winners with

their awards. Special arrangements of transport facilities were made for the stu-

dents coming from various places. Bus were arranged and staff members accompa-

nied the student to send them safely to their home.
