Ramsay issued an explosive public letter, condemning Chris Hutcheson and his ‘‘very complex life’’. He said it was a ‘‘breath of fresh air’’ to have sacked him as his chief executive. In his letter — littered with dark hints — Ramsay, 43, even reveals he em- ployed a private detective to investigate his former partner. ‘‘His role as CEO of Gordon Ramsay Holdings in the end felt like he was running the business as a dictator,’’ Ramsay says. The letter was sent in re- sponse to an attack by Mr Hutcheson in which he ac- cused the ‘‘monster’’ chef of turning his daughter Tana, Ramsay’s wife, against him. It is only days since Ramsay had vowed not to respond publicly to a ‘‘private family matter’’. The feud erupted after the TV chef, whose busi- ness reportedly has debts of $27 million, sacked Mr Hutcheson, 62, in a law- yer’s letter last month. Mr Hutcheson hit back, publicly accusing the Kit- chen Nightmares star of be- ing warped by the celebrity lifestyle and capable of ‘‘manic’’ mood swings. Mr Hutcheson, Ram- say’s business partner of 12 years, warned ominously: ‘‘I know where Gordon’s bodies are buried.’’
