Designed as component of our less-intensive community-based activities.
Evolved to include a number of patients taking part in the intensive clinic-based activities.
Gardening ProjectGardening Project
Historically, Navajos grew fields of corn, beans and squash.
At Ramah Navajo, some families now have gardens, and cornfields are few.
Water for irrigation is in short supply.
Gardening ProjectGardening Project
Goals:Encourage family physical activity
through gardening.
Increase availability and consumption of fresh produce.
Help families become more self-sufficient.
