Funeral services, with military graveside rites by the Stanly County Disabled American Veterans, were held July 15 at Big Lick Baptist Church in Oakboro, conducted by the Rev. Larry Linker and Dr. Doyle Holder. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife,

Mr. Wayne Whitecotton August 7, 1946 - July 12, 1994

Rev. Whitecotton was pastor at Faith Baptist Church from January. 1994 until his death in July, 1994. He was from Newport News, Virginia and received his ministerial training through corre- spondence with Moody Bible Institute and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. White- cotton and his wife, Pat, are the parents of 2 sons.
