In the academic year 2014-15 department of Elocution and Debate was successful in District, Regional and state level Elocution and debate competition. Mr. Rahul Gokule (B.Com. II) was elected as the President of Elocution and Debate Association.

Our Shahu students participated in the Elocution and debate District level competition conducted at Mahatma Basweshwar College, Latur, District Police Dal, Latur, Yuva Vakta where our students got individual prizes with ranking Ist, IInd and IIIrd by Ku. Diksha Surywanshi (B.Sc. B.T. III), Apeksha Chakote (B.Sc. I ), Archita Mhaske (B.A. III) and Shekhar Hendge (B.A. III).

Our Shahu student Mr. Rahul Gokule (B.Com. II) participated in the debate Regional level competition at Madhavrao Patil college and Murum got special award.

Ku. Archita Mhaske (B.A. III) and Apeksha Chakote (B.Sc. I ) has participated in debate Regional level competition conducted at Swami Yoganand College, Vasmat got Team Ist Prize.

Our Shahu students Ku. Archita Mhaske (B.A. III) and Ku. Diksha Surywanshi (B.Sc. B.T. III) had actively participated and got Bronze Medal in Debate competition of Yuvak Mahotsav which was conducted at S.R.T.M. University, Nanded.

Ku. Diksha Surywanshi (B.Sc. B.T. III) got Bronze Medal in Elocution competition of Yuvak Mahotsav which was conducted at S.R.T.M. University, Nanded.

Cultural Unit Report: Year: 2012- 2013

The college participated in youth festival, “SURABHI” organized by Swami Ramanand Teerth

Marathwada, University Nanded from 30/09 12 to 03/10/12.

The college bagged first prize for its Hindi one act play, “HIRANYAGARBH”. Mr Navalagi Jadhav

won gold medal for best direction of one act play. Miss Shraddha Sathe won silver medal for

best actress. College team also won first prize for skit and third prize for miming. The folk dance

“Dindi” first time performed in any of such festivals in Maharashtra won second prize for it.

College also participated in sculpture making, drawing, poster making and various musical

competitions.

Activities organized in college

A play on life of Lord Buddha on celebration of Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanthi (14 April

2017)

The Cultural unit hosted The First National Film Festival, ”NOMAD” on 9th January 2017 in

collaboration with National Alliance Group For Denotified and Nomadic Ttribe (NAG-DNT) and

Maharashtra students federation. Nomadic tribes (NT) are homeless, migrating communities who are

misunderstood as criminals from ancient periods and are kept away from social recognition and major

developmental programs even today. Students visited neighboring NT communities before the film

festival, studied their livelihood, cultures and traditions to produce awareness among society. The

festival screened five short films produced by different groups dedicated to this movement. The festival

has got coverage of news papers and magazines, too.

5. RALLY FOR AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME: 01-12-2012

On 1st Dec 2012 Civil Hospital, Latur organized ‘Aids Awareness Rally Our 30

cadets participated in said rally. The Rally, was commenced from civil Health Centre. It was graced by Hon. Collector of Latur. Mr. Vipin Sharma, CEO of Z.P. of Latur. Mr. Sachindrasingh, Dr. Chinte, Dr. Deshmukh of Civil Hospital, Latur other deginatories and A.N.O. Capt. S. J. Kulkarni. This covered major localities and slum areas of Latur city and finally, it was windup at Latur Town Hall.

6. DISASTER MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME :27-12-2012

Our college organized disaster management training program with collaboration of Marathwada Revenue Pradhikaran Aurangabad & District Collector DRM Cell Latur on27-12-2012.Our 22 cadets were in said training.

The Mr. Khodsekar & Team gave practice and class room training under the in charge officer. Our cadets got training of dealing with casualties at the time at disaster, and other important aspects of first aid CPR Treatment.

On 26th Nov. 2014 ‘NCC Day’ was celebrated in Rajarshi Shahu College Latur.

Our 06 cadets were participated and S/UO Survase Archana Baburao got second prize in Debate competition.

Poster presentation on 10 Nov 2016 NCC Department of our college arranged Poster Presentation Programme on the study topics NCC subject matter.30 students actively participated in the said programme. The student got practical knowledge& understanding related to various concepts. This certainly helps for their personality development.

E-PAYMENT Awareness PROGRAMME:18-01-2017

NCC Department of our college was conducted E-PAYMENT Awareness programmeon18-01-2017.Mr. Amol Naik the System Manager of State Bank OF Hyderabad was the Chief guest of the programme. He gave guidance to the cadets about E-Payment and the need of taking precautions in E-banking. 37 Cadets attended the programme and got valuable information.

2. Disaster Management Camp: 01 students participated in Disaster Management Camp at

Sevagram during 07-6-12 to 15-6-12 at Rahuri

3. Celebration of National Youth Day by organizing Matrathon competation , Blood

Donation Campm and Poster presentation Competation.

4. Raksha Bandhan : To know the traditional values with social responsibility, the

programe of Raksha Bandhan was organized. Our Students of NSS students celebrated

Raksha Bandhan with Orphan School students. As our institute is situated at central place

near bus stand, we organize and participate in

5. Traffic Management Programmes during National Festivals like Ramjan Eid, Ganesh

Visarjan to help police & maintain social harmony. Our 26 cadets of NSS and Programe

Incharge Mr.V.J.Dalvi actively participated to maintain social harmony during Ramjan

6. AIDS Awareness Programme was organized by Govt. Medical College on 04-12-12 in

which our NSS students participated to create awareness among people about this

disease.

7. Blood Donation Camp was organized in association with Bhalchandra Blood Bank in

which our 200 students actively participated.

8. Pulse Polio Programme (20th Jan.) was organized in association with Maharashtra

Govt. and Municipal Corporation Health Dept. in which our 50 NSS student cadets and

programe officer Mr. V.J.Dalvi actively participated to aware the society about the

vaccination.

9. Participation in SRD :01 students of our college are selected and participated by

representing S.R.T.M.U.Nanded in SRD Camp 2016 at Mumbai

4. Rashtriya Youvak Saptaha: of Rashtriya Youvak Saptaha is Celebrated by organizing

Rangoli competition , and Debate Competition.

5. Tree Plantation Programe (5th June) was organized on the occasion of World

Environment Day to create awareness for preservation of environment.

Prin.Dr.S.B.Jadhav motivated the students by his inspirational speech in the programe

and the students actively participated in plantation program.

6. JAT Panchayat (5th Aug.): Our Institute and Maharashtra Andhshraddha Nirmulan

Samiti ( Committee for Eradication of Superstition ) organized Jatpanchayat Muthamati

Abhiyan. For this Programe the Chairperson was Hon. Dr. Narendra Dabolkar and Chief

Guest was Prin. A.S.Jadhav. Mr. Vinayak Patil. Adv. Pallavi Renke, Shri Uttamrao

Kamble, Program officer Mr. V.J.Dalvi, Dr.M.H.Gavhane, Dr. P.D.Pohekar and 45 NSS

7. Raksha Bandhan: The programe of Raksha Bandhan (20th Aug.) was organized. Our

students of NSS celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Orphan School students.Plastic

8. Eradication Rally (7th Sept.) was organized in association with Municipal Corporation

in which our 200 NSS students and programe officer actively participated in the Mission

Clean Latur Healthy Latur.

9. Van Sahal : TO aware the students about Nature, natural resources and conservation of

natural resources NSS department organised Van Sahal on 09-09-14 at Yedshi.

10. Special Youth Camp for Conservation of Environment and Natural Resources at

Dhanori TQ. Dist. Latur was organized from 23rd Dec. to 29th Dec. In the camp total 125

students and staff participated and motivated the villagers for Toilet Construction, Tree

plantation. Cattels Health Checkup Camp , Mahila melava, Cultural programme,

Programme about believes and misbelieves about snakes and guest lecturers were also

organized by our NSS Department.

11. Voters Registration Programme (13th Jan.) was organized to create awareness about

voting right in students.

from shivaji chowk to Gandhi chowk police station in which our NSS students, Mr.

Dnyaneshwar Chavan ,SP Latur, NSS program officer Mr.V.J.Dalvi, Dr.M.H.Gavhane

were present.

10. Environment Protection Programme (17th Jan) was organized inassociation with

Nisarg Mitra Mandal .The guest lecturer for the programe was Mr. Dilip Kulkarni , he

focused on Protection of Environment: Moral responsibility. The Chairman for the

program was Dr.S.B.Jadhav, Programe officer Dr. M.H.Gavahane, Asst. Prof. Shrihari

Talware, Asst.Prof. Madhav Shelke were present .
