raise your game, raise your voice!
Procurement has come a long way but for it to take its righul place, it is me to move to the next level by driving shareholder and stakeholder value. To achieve this, we must: Understand and speak the language of the business and stakeholder, not just our tradional forte of cost, but also value, growth, etc
Drive the value in the enre value chain and, for example, enable suppliers to drive innovaon and maximize business opportunies
Push the boundaries of value and be a soluon for big societal issues (corrupon, environmental, etc) and gain wider recognion
Have procurement reporng into CEOs and at the most senior levels – it is happening in my organisaon
Invest in the best people - idenfy, nurture and develop them, and give them the profile they deserve. Good procurement is good for stakeholders and is good for society.

Template for your written submissionYour written entry is the basis on which the judges will vote for and shortlist entries. The main criteria used by the judges to select winners will be the magnitude, importance and clarity of the benefit(s) to the organisation arising from the project or initiative. The three pages should show how you meet all criteria in your category. At the beginning of your three pages, the following information must be listed:
• Category name• Project title• Organisation name• A 100-word overview of your entry (teams only)

Your submission should also include thefollowing headings:• Aims and objectives• Planning and execution• Innovation and creativity• Best practice• Supporting evidence (this is the heading for up to
three pages of additional material in your appendices) • • Organisational benefits achieved.
Judges will award 0-5 points for the first five sections and up to 20 points for the final one – organisational benefits. Achievements may be ‘hard’ (for example, cost savings or reduced lead times) or ‘soft’ (for example, improved supplier relations or better-trained staff). But itis important that every entry relates in some way to organisational benefits already achieved and for you to provide supporting evidence.
Claimed benefits should be supported by facts and figures, and entrants are strongly advised to include validation of these from stakeholders outside the procurement and supply chain function – internal customers, suppliers and so on. Don’t forget that judging is an open and transparent process. Entries are read by judges and winning ones are written up by the editorial team before they are announced, so do not include information that is commercially sensitive.

The impact upon the organisation is more likely to be at an operational or functional rather than strategic level and evidenced through the submission of a 500-word statement detailing the above elements, plus any supporting documents.
