In 2014 the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Board of Directors endorsed the MCSC and our efforts in finding missing children. They have amplified our voice with the RCMP and Police Services leadership across Canada to evaluate, educate and encourage the use of the MCSC’s Most Valuable Network.
When a child is abducted or goes missing, MCSC lets local and national police amplify their voice through our network. We built it for exactly that reason and only police can activate it. When a case comes up and they need a targeted connection with Canadian communities, they reach out to us to create a Child Search Alert and we broadcast them throughout our technology network.
MCSC also encourages policing leadership to utilize our network for rebroadcasting AMBER Alerts. This collaboration is a significant step in the right direction as Canadian municipalities work to implement proactive solutions to find missing children.
CACP Board Endorses the MCSC to Amplify Police Searches Across Canada1
The Most Valuable Network uses technology to connect police with community – the eyes and ears for our missing children. With the help of our corporate and technology partners like Microsoft, Google, BlackBerry and Kijiji, our technology network is expanding every day. We have multiple ways to broadcast information to the public and can geo-target alerts to a city, province or across all of Canada.
SocialSocial media like Facebook and Twitter are the most powerful tools to magnify our Child Search Alerts. For example, the City of Calgary has 90K followers on Facebook. If we broadcast an alert through our social channels, that number multiplies to reach hundreds of thousands more.
MobileMCSC’s Smartphone App, developed by RallyEngine, is supported by our corporate partners. We can push Alerts and updates to thousands of partner company employees like WestJet and Via Rail.
MediaOur partnership with MarketWired allows us to connect with every online and traditional media outlet in the country.

MCSC has our own in-house investigative team staffed with former law enforcement who help bring missing children home. Our specialized investigators offer the full range of support services involved in investigating a missing child case, from the date of disappearance to the reunification process. We work with municipal, provincial, national and international law enforcement agencies to support and advance investigative efforts.
We also provide support for the families of missing children – including counseling and legal advice. By connecting them to local community support and collaborating with partnering agencies, we provide families with an essential support network and resources in their time of need.
