Preparing the Bingo Games

To Prepare Each Game

Print the Bingo Cards for the game and cut into 8 separate cards. These can be laminated to make them more durable if you choose. Print the Caller’s List. Print the Caller’s Cards and cut into separate cards. Store the cards in a plastic bag or envelope.

Playing the Games

Getting Ready Each player needs a Bingo Card and markers, cubes or buttons to cover the letters or words on their bingo card. There are 8 cards in each set. To create a set for a whole class print a few copies of each card so that each child will have one card. The caller needs a bag or container with the Caller’s Cards inside and will draw out cards as the game is played. The caller can also use the Caller’s List and as cards are drawn out they can place the card over the appropriate word on the list. How to Play The Game The caller calls out a word from the Caller’s Words List or from a chosen Caller’s Card. (Keep a record of the words that are called by either circling the word on the list or covering the word on the list with the Caller’s Card.) The players cover the initial letter/final letter/word if it is on their Bingo Card. Repeat until a player has covered each letter/word on their card and calls BINGO. When BINGO is called the Caller checks that the winner’s letters/words that have been covered are accurate.
