Campground Tips• Be sure matches are extinguished.
Break them in half beforediscarding.
• Build no fires except in adesignated firepit or use a campstove. Before leaving make sureyour fire is completely out.
• Be careful with your cigarettes,cigars and pipe ashes. Crush themthoroughly before discarding.Never toss them from a vehicle.
• Please! Do not litter.
• Be sensitive to wildlife. Bears canbe dangerous and should not befed. Food must be stored awayfrom your campsite, preferablyin a locked vehicle, to avoidattracting hungry animals. Do notstore food in your tent.
• Warm clothing is needed forcool nights.
• The use of insect repellent will addto your comfort.
• Learn to recognize and avoidpoisonous plants such as poisonivy.
• In case of injury or illness contacta Campground Attendant or ParkPatrol Officer. They can assist youto reach medical help.
• Canoeists and hikers travelling inbackcountry areas should advisea friend of their intendeddestination and anticipated lengthof trip.
• Backcountry camping is onlyallowed at designated campsites.
• It is illegal to use or transportelm firewood.
• Out of Province Firewood can spread harmful pests and destroy our forests - buy it locally, burn it locally.
ocated near Dauphin, Rainbow Beach Provincial Park has both spacious and private campsites, which are idea for quiet family get-togethers. Never crowded, everyone will enjoy scenic walks along the shore, and kids will keep busy with swimming and playgrounds.
This beach ridge on the southwestern shore of Dauphin Lake is located in the Aspen/Oak Parklands Natural Region. In addition to the lake the water bodies of Crooked and Crawford Creeks flow within the park.
The beach and picnic areas, playgorund, ball diamonds, horseshoe pits and hiking trails contribute to your outdoor experience, while the modern washrooms and showers
provide added comfort. There are three group use areas perfect for that family reunion or youth activity. The nearby Dauphin Golf and Country Club offers a diversion for the avid golfer. And what can be better than a great game of baseball by the lake?
This area is alive with activity throughout the summer, as Dauphin plays host to Countryfest every Canada Day long weekend and Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival in August. The town also offers retaurants, hotels, shopping, and mueseums.
