• Competency-based training for regulator staff

• Development and recognition of industry codes and technical standards

• Development of additional guidance material for industry and regulators

What next?• There is a body of work to be completed which is not

yet on the reform agenda

• No agreed national position on a number of issues -for example, D&A and fatigue

• Good progress has been made to date but there remains much to do in the future

• Continued commitment from government, industry and unions is essential to guard against reform fatigue
