Use pedestrian crossings only Stop, look and listen for trains Wait for bells and lights to stop before crossing Cross only if there are no trains coming

271 collisions between cars and trains in last 10 years

1400 level crossings in New Zealand – only half of these have bells and alarms or barrier arms

Around 700 crossings are protected by Give Way or Stop Signs
