Today’s library media specialists (my program of study) must know of and be able to implement current and emerging technology into their library media curriculum.◦ Cataloging methods

◦ Project software and ways to use it

◦ Assessment tools

Today’s librarians must be work with other support staff to develop the library media center guide and the school technology plan.

He or she should understand and practice correct copyright rules, as well as teach the other teachers how to abide by copyright laws.

Today’s librarian should manage her library staff and provide training for them on current and emerging technology.

The librarian should also do this for her other faculty members as well.

Today’s librarian needs to have time for students and teachers to come in and use the library for research and project-based learning.

Today’s librarian needs to collaborate with teachers to maximize the use of technology in the school.

Teachers, librarians, and school staff should be ready for the current and emerging technology for the students.

This allows for students to become college and career ready for the 21st Century.
