COMMISSIONER.
2. FIRE SAFETY: ALL NECESSARY LAWS AND CONTROLS, INCLUDING
THOSE WITH RESPECT TO OCCUPIED DWELLINGS, AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL
FIRE SAFETY MEASURES NECESSITATED BY CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
STRICTLY ENFORCED.
3. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: SPECIFICATION OF METHODS TO BE USED FOR
CONTROL OF DUST, DISPOSAL OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, PEST CONTROL
AND MAINTENANCE OF SANITARY FACILITIES, AND LIMITATION OF NOISE
TO ACCEPTABLE LEVELS SHALL BE INCLUDED.
3.1 THERE SHALL BE INCLUDED A STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE WITH
APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF LAW
RELATING TO LEAD AND ASBESTOS.
4. COMPLIANCE WITH HOUSING STANDARDS: THE REQUIREMENTS OF NEW
YORK CITY HOUSING AND MAINTENANCE CODE, AND WHERE APPLICABLE,
THE NEW YORK STATE MULTIPLE DWELLING LAW SHALL BE STRICTLY
ENFORCED.
5. STRUCTURAL SAFETY: NO STRUCTURAL WORK SHALL BE DONE THAT MAY
ENDANGER THE OCCUPANTS.
6. NOISE RESTRICTIONS: WHERE HOURS OF THE DAY OR DAYS OF THE
WEEK IN WHICH CONSTRUCTION MAY BE UNDERTAKEN ARE LIMITED
PURSUANT TO THE NEW YORK CITY NOISE CONTROL CODE, SUCH
LIMITATIONS SHALL BE STATED.
7. ALL DWELLING UNITS WILL REMAIN OCCUPIED DURING CONSTRUCTION

105.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. SIGNS SHALL BE DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE
FOR USE OF MATERIALS, LOADS AND STRESSES.
105.2 PERMITS, DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. WHERE A PERMIT IS REQUIRED, AS PROVIDED IN CHAPTER 1, CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTS SHALL BE REQUIRED. THESE DOCUMENTS SHALL SHOW THE DIMENSIONS, MATERIAL AND REQUIRED DETAILS OF
CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING LOADS, STRESSES AND ANCHORS. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PROPERTY OWNER TO HAVE
EVERY SIGN FOR WHICH A PERMIT IS REQUIRED INSPECTED AND LEAST ONCE EVERY CALENDAR YEAR.
105.6 ATTACHMENT. SIGNS ATTACHED TO MASONRY, CONCRETE OR STEEL SHALL BE SAFELY AND SECURELY FASTENED BY MEANS
OF METAL ANCHORS, BOLTS OR APPROVED EXPANSION SCREWS OF SUFFICIENT SIZE AND ANCHORAGE T SAFELY SUPPORT THE
LOADS APPLIED.
106.1 ILLUMINATION. A SIGN SHALL NOT BE ILLUMINATED BY OTHER THAN ELECTRICAL MEANS, AND ELECTRICAL DEVICES AND
WIRING SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE NYCEC. ANY OPEN SPARK OR FLAME SHALL NOT
BE USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES UNLESS SPECIFICALLY APPROVED.
106.1.1 INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED SIGNS. WIRING FOR ELECTRIC LIGHTING SHALL BE ENTIRELY ENCLOSED IN THE
SIGN CABINET WITH A CLEARANCE OF NOT LESS THAN 2 INCHES FROM THE FACING MATERIAL.
1. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE BUILDING CODE OF NEW YORK TO
DATE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY ALL LABOR, MATERIALS AND
EQUIPMENT TO COMPLETE ALL WORK AS CALLED FOR IN THE DRAWINGS.
2. THE OWNER MUST OBTAIN ALL PERMITS AND FINAL APPROVAL OF
COMPLETION OF WORK FROM LANDMARKS PRESERVATION COMMISSION.
3. MINOR DETAILS NOT USUALLY SHOWN OR SPECIFIED, BUT REQUIRED FOR
PROPER CONSTRUCTION OF ANY PART OF THE WORK SHALL BE INCLUDED
AS IF THEY WERE INDICATED IN THE DRAWINGS.
4. ALL EXISTING AREAS OF THE BUILDING THAT ARE DAMAGED BY THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESTORED TO MATCH EXISTING AT NO ADDITIONAL
COSTS TO THE OWNER.
5. ALL REMOVED MATERIAL AND DEBRIS SHALL BE LEGALLY DISPOSED OF
AWAY FROM THE PREMISES.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE ALL WORK PERFORMED UNDER THIS
CONTRACT FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR AFTER COMPLETION AND
FINAL ACCEPTANCE BY THE OWNER.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CHECK AND VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND
CONDITIONS AT THE SITE BEFORE BIDDING AND PROCEEDING INTO
CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SAME.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL OPERATIONS WITH THE OWNER,
SUCH AS WORK AREAS USED FOR MATERIALS STORAGE, ACCESS TO AND
FROM WORK AREAS, TIMING OF WORK, SPECIAL CONSIDERATION OF NOISY
OPERATIONS, INTERRUPTIONS FOR MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL
SERVICES, ETC. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT INTERRUPT THE ONGOING
OPERATION OF THE PREMISES AT ANY TIME.
9. THE SCOPE OF DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL TO BE PERFORMED SHALL NOT
BE LIMITED BY THE DRAWINGS OR SPECIFICATIONS BUT SHALL INCLUDE
ANY AND ALL WORK THAT SHALL BE REQUIRED OR DIRECTED BY THE
OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE NEW WORK.
10.ALL WORK PERFORMED BY THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE DONE IN A GOOD,
WORKMANLIKE MANNER AND TO THE APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE
OWNER AND THE ARCHITECT.
11.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS WORK AND FOR
COORDINATION BETWEEN HIS RESPECTIVE SUBCONTRACTORS AND THEIR
PORTION OF THE WORK.
12.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CHECK DETAILS FOR LOCATIONS OF ALL ITEMS
NOT DIMENSIONED ON THE PLANS.
13.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN TEMPORARY FACILITIES
FOR PROTECTION AND/OR ENCLOSURE OF AREAS OF WORK AND PROTECTION
OF AREAS WHERE THERE IS NO FURTHER WORK. REMOVE TEMPORARY
FACILITIES WHEN NO LONGER REQUIRED.
14.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL LAY OUT HIS OWN WORK, AND SHALL PROVIDE
ALL DIMENSIONS REQUIRED FOR OTHER TRADES: PLUMBING,
ELECTRICAL, ETC.
15.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DO ALL CUTTING, PATCHING, REPARING AS
REQUIRED TO PERFORM ALL OF THE WORK INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS,
AND ALL OTHER WORK THAT MAY BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE JOB.
