Damas Golden Contest

DJ NYK, one of the prominent DJ from India performed at Crown Plaza on April 5th, 2018. He is a born musician and started to mix different types of music from an early age. NYK’s remix of the hit track “ Chammak Challo” sung by international pop star Akon was featured on RA.1’s PlayStation, which made him first Indian DJ to REMIX a track for PlayStation video game.

Radio Olive 106.3 FM and Radio Suno 91.7 FM conducted a ‘’Golden Contest’’ in associa-tion with Damas Jewellery. The three days long on-air – online contest was enthralling and the final two winners were gifted with Damas gold pendants.

Aldo Shoe store at Doha Festi-val City held a charity event on the 7th of April, 2018. There was an amazing response from the people of Qatar. Many peo-ple donated shoes during the 2 hours of ‘’ donate a pair of shoes & get another for free ‘’, and others donated shoes on the next few days using the offer of ‘’ donating a pair of shoes & get another 50% off ‘’. Radio Ol-ive 106.3 FM was there to cover the event.

Launch of IndianBusinessmen Directory

Qatar National Library – reopening

The Indian Business & Profession-als Council (IBPC) announced the launch of Indian Business-men Directory. A first of its kind, the directory is expected to have information about almost 6,000 business entities being run by Indians in Qatar. Exclusive media coverage was allowed to Radio Olive 106.3 FM and Radio Suno 91.7 FM.

Qatar National Library (QNL), member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) celebrated its official opening with a variety of public events over two weeks, including lec-tures, seminars, educational and training workshops, that high-light the library’s leading role in spreading knowledge. Olive Suno Radio Network visited this place and informed our listeners about QNL.

World Health Day Challenge

The World Health Day is a global health awareness day cele-brated every year on 7 April.Radio Olive team thought of spreading health awareness by climbing 14 floors of their office building. It’s a fun packed video and assuring that you will love this video.

Qatar Star League’s Head of Corporate Sponsorship Meshaal Abdulaziz Al Emadi and his team interact-ed with our RJs and the other team members.

Bharat Ultsav

THE Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), the apex body of socio-cultur-al organisations of the Indian community in Qatar, organised a dance festival titled ‘Bharat Utsav’ in Doha on April 13. Three hundred and fifty budding artists from the Indian community participated in the event at Al Mayassa Theater of Qatar Na-tional Convention Centre. Radio Olive 106.3 FM was invited and it was a mesmerizing event.

Our RJs from Olive Suno Radio Network were invited to visit Georgia as part of their Tourism development. Hell yeah!!! This place is definitely a one to be in your bucket list. RJs spend around a week in Georgia and explored its culture and beauty.

Ghazal night with Shahabaz Aman

Shahabaz Aman is a playback singer and a stage performer of Ghazal music, and an excellent music composer of Malayalam cinema. Doha was fortunate to have a Ghazal night with him and Radio Suno 91.7 FM is so blessed to be the official radio partner.

Olive Suno Radio Network was invited to attend Pendulum Fashion Show which showcased the work of VCUarts Qatar’s fashion design sophomores, jun-iors and seniors who are grad-uating to professional careers. The show presented a line-up of distinct and individual creative looks that the students have researched, experimented with, and now present for the audi-ence at the Westin Doha Hotel & Spa.

A Radio Reality Show , initiated by Radio Suno & Radio Olive in association with Jannah wa-ter and Green Tea.The Grand Finale was held at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivioli. Ma-layalam music director Shaan Rahman & sound engineer Biju James were the judges. The final 5 contestants performed their best to be a playback singer for Shaan Rahman’s next music composition. Sruthy Shivadas won the title of Golden Mic.


CELEBRITY CORNER

Shaan Rahman, who is called as “viral hit maker of Malayalam music industry” visited our studio and was entitled as celebrity RJ in Radio Suno 91.7 FM and interacted with our listeners. Our Team didn’t fail to give

him a surprise on his visit by dancing to the rhythm of his famous tracks from various movies.

Abid Kannur is a well-known Malabar – Mappi-lapattu singer, who hails from Kannur, Kerala. He visited our studio and was a special guest on our

show ‘’ Ishal Qatar ‘’.

Anant Nag, is an actor from Karnataka, India. He has acted in Malgudi Days, directed by his

younger brother Shankar Nag based on the sto-ries by R. K. Narayan.


Shahabaz Aman, a born music composer, singer and performer of Ghazal music visited our studio.His recent malayalam song ‘‘ Mizhiyil ninnum ‘‘ was a big hit among South - Indians.

The prominent Malayalam poet and lyricist, Murukan Kattakkada visted our studio. His distinc-tive style of both writing and reciting poems are

always a talk in our society.

Ramesh Pisharody, the ever green Malayalam stand-up comedian who never fails to entertain people. He visited our studio and it was a day to
