SEQUENCE OF BASIC JOB STEPSPOTENTIAL ACCIDENTS OR HAZARDSRECOMMENDED SAFE JOB PROCEDURES

1. Raise the Radiography work permit.Conflict with other activities.

2. Conduct surface preparation.Slip and fall. Use certified access or scaffold.

3. Barricade area for activities.Exposure to radiation.Announcement via PA system to warn others of the coming RT activities in the area.

3. Film placement on weld joint. Handling of radio-isotopes (Gamma-Camera)Back injury.Avoid lifting with your back and avoid body twisting.

4. Performing the radiographic testing (RT) onsite.Isotope stuck in its wind-out remote. (Detective). Exposure to radiation.Standby with Isotope recovery Emergency kit and follow procedures. Adhere to RT shooting procedures.

5. Film processing & interpretation in dark room.Chemical splash.Wear right PPE for handling chemical complete with face shield and goggles.
