They can see the other side of the Milky Way.

They work day or night.

They can see much further distance objects compared to optical telescope.

They are relatively simple technology.

Disadvantages of radio telescopes.

They have to be very very big.

They are expensive to build and maintain.

The electronics need to be super cooled to increase precision.
