PREFACE

Introduction

1. This Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC)/Army Equipment Sup

port

Publication, Category 7 (AESP) is designed as an aid to the ident

ification

of component parts or assemblies of parts of the equipment,

and to provide

the information necessary for the demanding of spares.

2. This IPC/AESP may list some or all of the parts comprising

the equipment

concerned but only those parts given a NATO Stock Number will no

rmally be

available as spares. Should there be a requirement for an item not assigned

a NATO Stock Number, demands may be submitted quoting the code

number of the

publication, item number, figure reference and item name. Where a

manufacturers number is known this should also be quoted.

Quantities

3. The figure in the 'Number Off' column specifies the quantity require

d

for the unit (or assembly, sub-assembly etc.) concerned, it does n

ot indicate

the quantity to be demanded.

Demands

4. Demands are to be ;submitted in accordance with current instruction

s as

follows:-

(1) Management Code

(2) NATO Stock Number/Catalogue Number.

(3) Item Name and Description.

(4) Name of Equipment for which the part is required.

Modification state

5. When appropriate, a list at the front of each Chapter or Sub-Chapte
