Radio Advert Analysis Nandos

Radio Advert Analysis (Nando’s) The advert that we analysed was from a popular food franchise called Nando’s. When first listening the first impressions I got were that it was fictional for example a made up story also repetitive with itself and also very humours. The overall message for the advert was that customers should go visit Nando’s and eat the food there. The types of voices used in the advert were a foreign male with a kind of Mexican accent, this being related to the Nando’s theme. The tone of language which was used was most definitely jokey and not so much informative, in my opinion it was very uninformative and didn’t describe much of what the advert was for an example their being a new sort of chicken. When it comes to the Nando’s named being mentioned, when listening to the advert about several times I counted around 3 times. The only problem I gathered when listening is that when the company name is mentioned its spoken very fast and not very clear because of the Mexican accent. No sort of contact details were said in this advert, I think this is because of the type of business Nando’s is and it was unneeded. Mostly because Nando’s in a popular food franchise in the UK and because they are so many stores it would be simple just to pin point one. When it comes to the music which was used in this advert it was very obvious what they were trying to portray because of the whole Mexican accent and now with the salsa type music. As I mentioned earlier with the foreign accent this relates with the music which was used, although it was very similar to salsa dance music it was very upbeat. The main purpose of the advert was to promote the restaurant and food products within the company; they did this with humour and other unusual concepts. Now on to the good and bad points of the advert, when listening to the advert a couple of times I wrote down 3 words repetitive, annoying and memorable. Looking back these good and bad put together and they all link in the same way. Repetitive linking with annoying because of the way the advert is spoken meaning the things he says and how he repeats himself; this also linking with memorable because of the repetition of words used.

Radio Advert Analysis (Nando’s)

The advert that we analysed was from a popular food franchise called Nando’s. When first

listening the first impressions I got were that it was fictional for example a made up story

also repetitive with itself and also very humours. The overall message for the advert was

that customers should go visit Nando’s and eat the food there. The types of voices used in

the advert were a foreign male with a kind of Mexican accent, this being related to the

Nando’s theme. The tone of language which was used was most definitely jokey and not so

much informative, in my opinion it was very uninformative and didn’t describe much of

what the advert was for an example their being a new sort of chicken.

When it comes to the Nando’s named being mentioned, when listening to the advert about

several times I counted around 3 times. The only problem I gathered when listening is that

when the company name is mentioned its spoken very fast and not very clear because of

the Mexican accent.

No sort of contact details were said in this advert, I think this is because of the type of

business Nando’s is and it was unneeded. Mostly because Nando’s in a popular food

franchise in the UK and because they are so many stores it would be simple just to pin point

one. When it comes to the music which was used in this advert it was very obvious what

they were trying to portray because of the whole Mexican accent and now with the salsa

type music. As I mentioned earlier with the foreign accent this relates with the music which

was used, although it was very similar to salsa dance music it was very upbeat.

The main purpose of the advert was to promote the restaurant and food products within

the company; they did this with humour and other unusual concepts.

Now on to the good and bad points of the advert, when listening to the advert a couple of

times I wrote down 3 words repetitive, annoying and memorable. Looking back these good

and bad put together and they all link in the same way. Repetitive linking with annoying

because of the way the advert is spoken meaning the things he says and how he repeats

himself; this also linking with memorable because of the repetition of words used.
