We have now started to put together some ideas for our radio advertisement for the documentary. The radio trial has to be 45 seconds long so therefore those 45 seconds have to attract the audience. We are planning to attract the audience by using some quotes from our expert interviews. Here are some which we have picked out: Julie Maitland: “I think the cuts will have a significant impact” Mike Hatton: “I believe it has had a significant social effect” Mike (student): “I think it will have a really bad effect on teenagers”

We have now started to put together some ideas for our radio advertisement for the documentary. The radio trial has to be 45 seconds long so therefore those 45 seconds have to attract the audience. We are planning to attract the audience by using some quotes from our expert interviews. Here are some which we have picked out:

Julie Maitland: “I think the cuts will have a significant impact”

Mike Hatton: “I believe it has had a significant social effect”

Mike (student): “I think it will have a really bad effect on teenagers”

We have also thought about how we are going to start our documentary. We watched some radio trials on the A2 Media homepage on moodle for some inspiration and guidance.

We noticed that all of the radio trials started off with a catchy line. So we have thought of a few ideas for ours here are a few:

“EMA just used to be a simple money incentive for students, but now it has become a government scandal.”

“Tonight channel 4 investigates the Education Maintenance Allowance”

We have also thought about what the background music will sound like, we haven’t started looking for the music yet but we know exactly what we are looking for. The music has to be very serious to emphasis the seriousness of the situation but it also has to be quite upbeat as it relates to students.
