Introduction:-
5 th acad emic year (2019 – ’20) for RES started on 8th of April, 2019 for grades 1 to 10, 1 1 t h o f
April, 2019 for Nursery and 15th of April, 2019 for LKG and UKG. Radhika EduCare School’s first ever
batch of Grade 10 started with 11 students in all. We are continuing with the concept of mother teacher for
nursery to grade 3. Number of students in the Academic Year 2018-19 was 489 and this year we have around
584 students.
CBSE announced 2 major changes to be implemented from the academic year 2019-20, which are as
follows:-
1. To give maximum benefit to the students for their overall growth, CBSE grouped 4 to 5 schools in particular region and asked them to work in collaboration for the betterment of the students under the Hubs of learning. Our Hub consists of NVN School, Podar School, Jamangar, DPS Jamnagar and P.V.Modi School, Jamnagar. NVN is the lead school of our hub.
2. CBSE made changes in the assessment scheme for the 2019-20 exams. Math:- Basic and Standard was introduced for grade 10.
This year we also applied for extension of affiliation. We will be undergoing the process of inspection in the coming months for the same.
April-May 2019-20
April and May being the initial months of the academic year, they are the settling months for the new
students, mentors as well as parents.
Following activities other than academics were under taken during this month:-
1. Assembly Performance grade 8.
2. Hard work plus smart work= success. Grade - 9 assembly performance
3. Phonics workshop for parents of Nursery to Gr-1
4. Visit at our school by Teeni Meeni Play House
5. CBSE- Capacity Building Program on “Life skills” was organsied in our campus for the mentors.
6. Last year’s Pre-School ‘Bee’ certificates and trophies were given to children.
7. Our students and mentors (Grade 5 to 10) watching the play ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’
8. Students of Grade 6 to 8 explained their peers regarding the right to vote (adult franchise) and the
importance of the same in the classroom.
9. Damdaar Dramebaaz - Mono Acting competition for Grade 1 to 10 was organized on 3rd May, 2019.
10. Teacher’s Training By Bhagvan Das Sir on 7th May, 2019.
11. 3rd Investiture Ceremony took place in the month of May and all the office bearers where given
their charge on this day and they all took an oath to serve the school and their peers with the true
spirit.
12. During the summer vacation we had organized a “Summer Splash” field trip for 3 days with an
objective to help students explore the different areas nearby Jamnagar. They visited Shiv Ice-cream
factory, Paper Manufacturing Company- Big Five inc. Shri M.P. Shah Medical College, Lakhota
Museum and Bhujiyo Kotho in Jamnagar and Cricket Stadium, Radio Mirchi and Shreeji Gaushala in
Rajkot.

11th of May summer vacations started for the academic year 2019-20.
Academic Practices initiated for the year:
Morning Remedial Sessions from 7:30 am to 8:15 a.m. for Grade 4 to 10 for improving academic
performance as well as recapitulation of important concepts and topics taught.
Cross correction of books by teachers – Grade 1 to 10.
Weekly Comprehension worksheets for LKG to Grade 10 students to help improve their reading, writing & comprehending skills.
Pre-Primary to Grade 3:
o Weekly dictation practice to help students learn the spellings better.
o Topic Writing Practice to help students gain confidence & develop their writing skills.
o Reciting Math Tables which would help students get prepared for multiplication.
o Poem Recitation for helping students gain confidence and speak without fear among masses.
Pre-Primary:
o Story Telling Sessions to help build their vocabulary.
o Brain Gym - a structured program to enhance motor coordination, attention span, thinking &
listening skills of the students.
o Picture Talk to help develop their speaking skills.
o Oral Motor Exercise (Help develop speech).
Brain Development Sessions to improve students’ aptitude and logical reasoning skills. In these sessions;
students play games like chess & Sudoku which helps them stimulate their brains.
Class Tests for Grade 1 to 8, Weekly Tests for Grade 9 & Sunday Tests for Grade 10 students.
Aarambh Sessions (Fun Filled Exercises with Music) for Pre Primary and Grade 1 to 3 students.
Yoga Sessions and Health and Physical Education Sessions (HPE) for Grade 9 & 10 students which helps
them to increase their concentration as well as focus on their mental as well as physical development.
Random check of Reading & Comprehension of 5 students from each class from Grade 1 to 5.
Preparation of personal Portfolio by all students of Grade 9 & 10 as suggested by CBSE.
Staff:-
Richa Ma’am attended Capacity Building Program on Career Guidance (2 days) on 8th & 9th May, 2019
conducted at NVN School, Jamnagar.
June:-
Activities undertaken in the month of June:-
1. We started with Grade 9 and 10 classes and remedial sessions from 3rd June, 2019.
2. Language Development part-1 for teachers was taken by Riddhi Ma’am.
3. School reopened after summer break on 10th of June for Grades 1 to 10 and 11th June for Prep
section.
4. 12th, 13th and 14th of June were declared holiday for students as per the instructions given by DEO
due to cyclone.
5. We initiated students exchange program for this year as a pilot project with grade 7. Our students
went to Genius School Rajkot for the same for 8 days along with 2 mentors.
6. On international Yoga Day 7:30 to 7:55 an expert session was organized for Mentors and after that
for Parents for Half-n-hour.
7. Fire Safety Training was organized 21st June for all the staff members including support staff.
8. First Aid training was organized on 22nd June for all the staff members including support staff.
9. Gift Wrapping Competition was organized for Grade 1 to 8 on 29th June, 2019. Judges were Miss
Anjali Shah and Mrs. Leena Kudla. Winners are: Grade 1 to 3: Prashil Mehta (1st) & Mahir Gudhka
and Diya Barchha (2nd). Grade 4 to 6: Shyam Ganatra (1st) & Heerva Barchha and Radhesh Ghadiya
(2nd). Grade 7 & 8: Drashti Chandaria (1st) & Bhavya Nandaniya and Rishi Bakrania (2nd).
10. Skill Enrichment/ Subject Enrichment for term 1 was taken during this month.

July:-
Academics:
Enrolled students for MARRS Pre-School Bee Exams (Nursery to Grade 1 – 34 students) and the
exam will be conducted in the month of November, 2019.
Co-Curricular:
Activities undertaken in the month of July:-
1. World Music Awareness Program was organized on 1st July for grades 6,7 and 8. Wherein Thomas
Crasco, Mao Edmund were the artists from South America while, Dhaval Mistri, Shivam Pathak and
Kashyap Kubavat were the native artists.
2. 9th July, 2019 Drawing Competition (All India Citizens Development Centre) was organized for
Grades 1 to 8. Winners are yet to be announced.
3. Guru Purnima was celebrated on 16th July by performing a song and a dance performance by the
students showing respect to their Gurus.
4. Expert Intervention Session conducted for Grade 9 & 10 students by Mr. Ritesh Nathwani (Parent of Som Nathwani Grade 9) on Career Guidance & Planning – 19th July, 2019.
5. Under Parents as Partners RES organized “A session by Parents” on 19th July, wherein few parents opted to come and take 1 session in one of the grades mutually chosen by school and parent. Topic was chosen by the Parents.
6. Under the HOL, we organized Inter-school Badminton Tournament in our campus on 20th July for the
students of schools falling under the hubs.
7. This year Term-1 home visit was “Fueling the Family” where children were prepared for presenting
about their family in front of the group of parents and as well they individua lly shared their
learning’s about their families with their own parents. It was organized on 26th July.
8. Fancy Dress Competition was organized for on 29th July for Pre- Primary section of the school. The
theme was ‘Make in India’. Winners are Nursery: Bhavya Parmar (1st) and Keni Maru and Palak
Viradiya (2nd). LKG: Zahra Chikani and Marmik Thakrar (1st) and Vansh Kanjariya and Arshiya Kureshi
(2nd). UKG: Krisha Vajani (1st) and Tarj Shah and Kalp Shah (2nd).
9. Due to heavy rains they pre-primary was declared holiday on 30th July.
10. On 30th July under the program “Tree Idiot” run by Radio Mirchi, our students and staff along with
the team of Radio Mirchi, planted few plants spreading awareness about the environmental change
worldwide.

Activities undertaken in the month of August:-
1. Periodic Test 1 was organized from 3rd to 10th of August for students a part of term 1 internal
assessment.
2. Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on 14th August, where Parent-Child Dance
competition – Nrutyotsav for Nursery to Grade 5 was organsied based on the theme of patriotism,
Raksha Bandhan or Janmashtami. Winners were Heerva Barchha & Het Bhil (Grade 4 &5), Jeni
Mungra & Maurya Barchha (Grade 1 to 3) & Nishtha Bhatt & Rudra Nakum (Nursery to UKG). Grade
6 to 10 showed their spirit of patriotism by sending Rakhies to our Soldiers on the border.
3. Parenting Workshop on Developmental Milestones (Nursery to Grade 2) & Mindful Parenting (Grade 3 to 10) –
29th August, 2019 – For new admissions Nursery to Grade 10.
4. Expert Intervention Session conducted for Grade 9 & 10 students by Ms. Simmi Khanna (Health Expert) on
Diet and Healthy Food Habits – 26th August, 2019.
5. As a part of Janmashtami celebration for Grade 6 to 10 “Matki Phod competition was organised”.
6. Flag hoisting followed by National Anthem and a patriotic song was performed on Independence
Day. A short speech was given by our Chairman Mr. Bhartesh Shah.

September:
Academics:
From 12th September, 2019 started with Term 1 exams for all the grades.
One on One Meeting with Grade 9 & 10 parents wherein mentors share about child’s scope of
improvement, which in turn has resulted in academic improvement of many students of Grade 9 &
10.
Enrolled students for Trinity Exams – Young Performers’ Certificate (YPC), Graded Examinations in
Spoken English (GESE) & Communication Skills (UKG to Grade 8 – 51 students) and the exam will be
conducted in the month of February, 2020.
Term-2 regular sessions where conducted from 23rd September, 2019.
Science experiments were conducted by the mentors for better understanding and internalizing of the

Started with remedial sessions - Grade 9 and 10 (daily in the morning 7:30 to 8:15) for those students
who required extra help.
Co-Curricular: Activities undertaken in the month of September: -
1. 5th September being Dr. S. Radhakrishnan’s birthday and celebrated as Teacher’s Day, our school
also celebrated it where students became teachers, students performed a short cultural program for
the mentors and from the management as a token of love all the staff members were gifted a Table
clock with their photo and name with an adjective on it.
2. 20th September, 2019 Prep Navratri & 21st September, 2019 Grade 1 to 10 Navratri was organized.
This year Navratri event was organized only for students and staff. All the students and staff members
participated with enthusiasm. All the rounds where on no-competition bases. Our Music team comprised
of Mr. Kashyap Kubavat, Mr. Dixit Masata, Ms. Neha Bhatt, Ms. Zankhana Thakkar and Students (Tirth
Pansara, Rushil Mehta, Ujjwal Chauhan & Keval Gohil)

CBSE – An Essay Writing Competition was conducted for Grade 6 to 10 and the topic was – “Gandhiji’s
Life”. Three Winners were declared – from Grade 6 & 7 - Nandniba Vadher (1st Position), Haajar
Dhrolia (2nd Position) & Sneha Khakharia (3rd Position), from Grade 8 to 10 – Krupa Ghadiya (1st
Position), Sagar Tandel (2nd Position) & Krunal Donga (3rd Position).
On 12th October, 2019, Parenting Workshop on “How to Communicate with Children” by Ms. Mamta
Balasubramaniam was conducted for Old Admission Parents (Nursery to Grade 10).

On 17th October, 2019, “First Aid training” by Mr. Ram for all the staff members including support
staff was organized.
On 17th October, 2019, with regards to 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a Fancy Dress
Competition was organized for Grade 1 to 3 students and the theme was “Rewinding Gandhi’s Life”.

On 21st November, 2019, Debate Competition for Grade 8 to 10 was conducted and the winner was Air
House.
On 22nd November, 2019, Story Telling Competition for Grade 3 to 10 was conducted and the winners
from Grade 3 to 5 were – Rushabh Maru (1st Position) & Riddhi Nagda & Darshi Nagda (2nd Position),

On 30th November, 2019, “Showcase of Understanding” was conducted by students of LKG & UKG.

On 22nd November, 2019, a session on Kids Nutrition and Health Lifestyle was conducted by Dr. Jinita
