C’est un comportement assez répandu, commun à toutes les sociétés. Il consiste à se méfier, et même à mépriser, des personnes ayant des caractéristiques physiques ou culturelles différentes. Le raciste c’est celui qui généralise à partir d’un cas particulier.

On est toujours l’étranger de quelqu’un, c’est à dire qu’on est toujours perçu comme quelqu’un d’étrange par celui qui n’est pas de notre culture.

On ne naît pas raciste, on le devient. Il y a une bonne et une mauvaise éducation.

L’animal n’a pas de sentiment préétablis. L’homme au contraire a des préjugés. Il juge les autres avant de les connaître. Il croit savoir d’avance ce qu’ils valent et ce qu’ils sont.

C’est l’ignorance qui alimente la peur.
