Note: Students attending Summer School at Horlick or Park High School may eat breakfast and/or lunch at school.

There is no charge for breakfast or lunch. See schedule below. All courses earn .5 credit. Courses listed as Credit

Recovery will be delivered mainly by computer-based instruction. Sociology Make-Up (only at Park) and Beginner

Strength Training will be delivered face-to-face only.

HIGH SCHOOL ONLINE LEARNING COURSE OFFERINGS High school students who wish to take an online course during the summer months for original credit or grade

replacement should meet with their school counselors and/or the school’s online mentor teacher during the month

BEGINNER

STRENGTH

TRAINING

This course will be offered at Park High School only. Students

from Horlick HS and Case HS may enroll, but must attend at Park.

The beginner strength and conditioning course is designed to

support students working towards personal physical fitness in

areas such as strength, flexibility, explosive power, agility, aerobic

and anaerobic endurance, core training, speed and acceleration.

Students will learn how to properly lift weights in a safe manner,

as well as develop a semester-long strength training and

conditioning program. In this individualized workout program,

each student will enhance his or her knowledge of training

techniques, enhance their respective levels of physical fitness and

gain the knowledge and skills concerning strength and

conditioning that will propel them to participate in related

activities throughout their lifetime.
