Rachel Mitchell GSA Vice President, 20152016 My name is Rachel Mitchell and I am a Master's of Environment and Resource Studies student here at UW. Prior to my arrival at UW, I completed a BA in Economics and Aquatic Resources from StFX University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I am excited and honoured to have the opportunity to be involved in the GSA. I am extremely passionate about the graduate student experience, academics, and campus engagement. I am currently involved in many aspects of student life including copresident of the Environment Graduate Student Association (EGSA), and an ERS student department rep. During my undergrad at StFX University, I served as the VP of the Students' Union where I represented students on Senate, and a number of committees regarding equity, student life, orientation week, and academic spaces. I have extensive experience representing students, and advocating for more inclusive, innovative and sustainable practices in the University landscape. I am very excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the work of the GSA and improve the graduate student experience here at UW now and into the future.
