1WEEK This week’s task was to produce 5 alternatives of a set of
components which is varied by the height and radius of the rods. Guided by the extent and size of an underlying grid, each point acts as the center of the circular surfaces. A single point in the grid acts as the defining spot in which the form caves in vertically, and the radius of the circles decrease.

2WEEK The assigned task for the week was to practice using lofting
to create an dynamic form. Similiar to last week’s task, I started off with a grid and created a lofted plane which was determined by 2 attractor points. Circles were then projected from the plane and extruded, with the distance of extrusion varied by a vector.

3WEEK This week’s algorithmic task introduced the use of
perpendicular frames to create a tangent line defined by a vector. Using this information, I created rectangles in their place and formed an arc to produce its 3 dimensional shape. The following iterations were made by varying the radian, amplitude, lengths and heights each module.

4WEEK Using the image sampler component, the percentage of
black and white pixels are calculated from the embedded image, to map the movement of a grid of diamonds. The following iterations are a series of lofted surfaces and the projected diamond grid with varying heights along the z axis. I also attempted to extrude the diamond planes to induce thickness to the model.

5WEEK Through the use of the grasshopper plug-in, Kangaroo, an
animation is created to map the changes of the variables on a mesh. The simulation can be created by inputting a series of goal objects, such as anchor points, loads and lengths in the solver. A boolean toggle to switch between true and false is connected to the reset input. Lines were projects onto the undulating mesh to create the following iterations.
