As passionate supporters of Equestrian

sport it is hugely rewarding to continue

as long standing sponsors of the GB

Junior Eventing team and supporters of

the GB Teams. Every year it is a pleasure

to see the wealth of young British talent

develop and we wish them all the very

best of luck.

The purpose of the Racesafe Junior

Programme is to identify talented junior

riders and their horses that may have the

potential for international recognition

and to provide help and encouragement

to develop that talent and potential.

If it is possible, the Selectors may invite

riders to travel abroad for experience to

events in Europe in the spring or early

summer. These trips will be self-funding.

In the summer of 2015, a squad will be

chosen to represent Great Britain at the

Junior European Championships. These

will take place in Bialy Bor, Poland from

13-16 August 2015.

Whilst these Championships will

represent the peak for the chosen squad,

every effort will be made for all who

participate in the Programme, to gain

from the education and the competition

and to have fun whilst doing so.

The programme is managed by

Chairman of Selectors Darrell Scaife,

assisted by Ginnie Keen. Coaching will

be delivered by national under 18 coach,

Caroline Moore.

FITTING INFORMATION

To ensure a correct fit for comfort and safety, Body Protectors should be fitted by a trained stockist whenever possible.

STEP 1

The Body Protector should be fitted

over light clothing with other heavier

garments worn over the top.

STEP 2

Measure the chest size and select an

appropriate size from the size chart.

Use this as a starting point for a correct

fitting. To measure the chest place

the tape measure across the back,

underneath the arms and then across

the fullest part of the chest/bust. If

the chest measurement is close to

bordering sizes, select the smaller size

to try initially.

STEP 3

Before trying on, loosen the side

adjustments to the maximum allowance.

Flex the garment to a more natural round

shape if fitting straight off the peg. Once

on, insert thumbs into the armholes to

bring the two sides together and to help

make doing up the zip easier.

STEP 4

Tighten the side adjustments until a firm,

but comfortable fit is achieved. Whether

this can be achieved within the range

of adjustment will determine whether a

smaller or larger size is required.

STEP 5

At the front, the Body Protector

should reach up to the breastbone and

cover the bottom rib at mid chest by

approximately 2.5cm. The front length

should not restrict movement within the

range of a riding position. The garment

should sit off the hips at the side and

allow a full range of movement from side

to side without pushing the garment up.

STEP 6

There should be a neat fit over the

shoulders. If the Body Protector is

sitting up off the shoulders, this would

commonly suggest the size is too long

in the body. A smaller size or made to

measure adjustment to shorten the body

may be required. The Body Protector

should sit off the hips at the side and not

restrict movement.

STEP 7

Check the back length by sitting on a

saddle and ensure the Body Protector

does not hit the saddle or impede

movement.

RS2010 & P2-RS

Sitting on the saddle, ensure there is

approximately a hands width between

the saddle and the bottom of the Body

Protector. It should be possible to lean

back in a balanced position without

the bottom of the garment catching

the saddle. The exact back length is a

personal preference and suitability will

vary between disciplines. The Body

Protector Short Back option is 2.5cm

shorter than the Standard Back in Childs

sizes and 4cm shorter in Adult sizes.

RS JOCKEY VEST

Sitting on the saddle, ensure the vest

does not impede movement. The

correct fit will depend on the chosen

back length option.

The standard back features a racing tail

length and is designed to cover more of

the lower back. This should be a length

that is comfortable and doesnt impede

movement.

The short back is designed to allow

more movement in the saddle. There

should be approximately a hands width

between the saddle and the bottom of

the vest.

MADE TO MEASURE

A number of made to measure options are available if required to achieve the perfect fit.

BACK

1. Back length to specification.

If the required back length cannot be

achieved by the standard size then

the back length can be shortened or

lengthened to specification.

FRONT

2. Remove/Add row of blocks.

If the required front length cannot be

achieved by the standard sizing then

a row of standard width blocks can be

added or removed to the front.

FRONT

3. Tapered front.

The bottom row of blocks on the

front can be tapered at the sides to

raise the garment at the hips. This can

prevent the garment sitting on the hips,

restricting movement & pushing the

vest up.

FRONT

4. Ladies Fit.

Available for Adult sizes Large &

X-Large. Suitable where larger sizes are

needed for the chest and waist fit, but a

shorter front & back than std is needed.

P2RS HYBRID

Leaading RS2010 Body Protector with added Point Two air vest technology.

The P2-RS is built on the chassis of

the RS2010 body protector, which is

approved to European Standard & BETA

2009 Level 3, with the added protection

of Point Two air vest technology
