Thank You Participants p.2
Thank you for registering for the 2011 Race 2 re:Cycle charity bike ride for Habitat for Humanity
presented by Landmark Group. We are excited and proud to host the longest Tri-State Relay in
the Midwest and honored that you have chosen to participate in this epic event.
As you'd imagine, Landmark Group's Race 2 re:Cycle is an enormous undertaking that requires
hundreds of volunteer hours, tons of energy and enthusiasm, and thousands of dollars to pro-
duce. We are grateful for the sponsors who have supported the Race 2 re:Cycle this year -- we
literally could not do this without them!
A number of companies and organizations have become sponsors by making in-kind and/or
financial donations in support of Landmark Group's Race 2 re:Cycle. In the process, they have
taken a stand for both recycling and building an active lifestyle within the Omaha community. We
applaud their commitment to the cause and we acknowledge, with gratitude, their dona-
tions. When considering your business needs, we hope you will choose these outstanding com-
panies!
Please also join the Landmark Group in saying thanks to the numerous volunteers and aid station
organizers who have so graciously given their time to help us execute this event. Their assistance
and support is critical to keep everyone going over such a long distance and time.
I would also like to say THANK YOU to the Race 2 re:Cycle Committee who made this event a
reality. Dave Paladino, Steve Filips, Jenna Sabarini and Mary Jo Navarra generously volunteered
countless hours over the past 4 months to help organize and plan this event.
Whether participating with a team or riding the full 172 miles solo, we know that most of you are
cycling farther than you ever have gone in one day. Congratulations on such a great achieve-
ment! We are keeping our fingers crossed for a windless day.
Good luck, Cyclists, and have a safe trip through the great Midwest! We hope you all enjoy this
unique experience and we can’t wait to see everyone at the post awards ceremony at 8:00 pm at
Rick’s Cafe Boatyard.
Safety

connected with the race.
2. All racers and riders must sign Release of Liability prior to the
race. This is available when registering online.
3. Racers, riders and vehicles must obey all traffic laws, includ-
ing stopping for lights and stop signs.
4. Attendance at a Pre-Race Meeting is mandatory for the 172 mile
ride. Pre-Race meetings will be held in conjunction with the race
expo and packet pick-up on Friday, May 13.
5. The Race Directors have the authority to alter these rules based
on extenuating, unforeseen, and/or unusual circumstances. The Race
Directors have ultimate authority in regards to all rules, their inter-
pretation, and their enforcement.
6. Racers/riders will wear a properly fastened ANSI-approved
helmet at all times when on bikes.
7. Each bicycle ridden by a racer must be presented for pre-race

Proceeds Benefit Habitat for Humanity p. 8
Founded in 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is a grassroots organi-
zation that builds and renovates houses, forges community partnerships
and breaks down barriers. Habitat Omaha partners with families that
need safe and affordable housing. We eliminate vacant lots and aban-
doned homes in the blighted areas of North and South Omaha while im-
proving the overall appearance of our community.
Our homeowners are required to complete 350 hours of Sweat Equity
before purchasing their homes through 25 or 30-year no-interest mort-
gages. Through Habitat Omaha, more than 300 families have realized the
dream of homeownership and are ending the cycle of poverty for their
children. In 2011, Habitat Omaha will build or renovate 31 homes.
