R3 Builders team completed Boo Koo in Mill Valley, CA for Retail West Owner, Matt Holmes in 59 days. His desired expansion for the existin 680-square-foot Southeast Asian street food restaurant involved;demolition of non-load bearing partitions. The spaceincincreased allowed for an additional 700 SF area. The expansion more than doubles the restaurant's main dining room. Its decor' is lively, in a comfy artsy' way, not so crazy that one doesn't feel out of place, but rather in the "right place" one needs to be! Whether a person is sitting at the communal table or the full bar with ten (ten) craft beer taps, the fresh urban appeal is fun and uniquappeal is fun and unique.
Project Manager, Mike Perryman exceeded Holmes' expectations; keeping his word and making certain Boo Koo's main kitchen and over the counter service remained operational and fully opened for theduration of the construction process.
Featured work from San Francisco muralist AdamFFeibelman covers the ceiling and bar. His whimsical theme complimented Parisa O'Connell interiordesigner's rustic textured elements. R3 Builders team at West Coast Fixtures even helped Holmes and O'Connell to procure salvaged barn wood and sheet metal, used for the ceiling, walls, tabletops, and 26-foot bar/countertop!
Mike has 21 years of experience in commercial and retail construction management. Since joining R3 Builders, Mike has taken on the role of “Restaurant Project Manager” successfully completing many restaurants, bars, and cafes throughout San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. Before joining R3 Builders, Mike owned & managed a construction company, working for several years as a subcontractor for R3 Builders.
His passion His passion for building impressive spaces and structures is evident when an individual meets or speaks to him for the first time. Clients immediately can see his enthusiasm for his job and genuine concern for their project! He views each job as a partnership; you will get the truth from Mike...it may not always be what you want to hear, but you will always know what’s going on with your project. His responsibility as our Project Manager is toooversee the entire build process: Weekly Project Meetings, Budget(s), Schedules, RFIs, Change Orders, and Quality Control. He also gives a full Weekly Project Reports to the entire team and client. Mike’s focus is always the client’s best interest, along with building what the architect designed.
