Five Year initiative to integrate all the SBs in Region 10
The Initiative was formally launched at Region 10 Student Congress held at Chennai, India in January 2008
Expanded during the 125th Anniversary R10 Student congress, Singapore, July 2009

2008: 5 Pilot sections and one Mentor Section identified , start coordination activities and establish HUBs
2009: Addition of new sections-Expansion of Pilot projects
2010: Establishing R10 GINI at Council levels 2011: Expansion of R10 GINI 2012: Complete establishment of R10 GINI

R10-GINI : Vision & Mission
GINI shall act as a catalyst in networking and sustaining the student branches of Asia- Pacific, and in increasing and adding value to IEEE student membership.
Act as a conjunctive body to encompass the Student Branches coming under its geographical span
Increase networking and add value to IEEE student membership
Reactivate sick student branches/add new student branches
