autoloaderThe Quintus has a compact Autoloader as an option Each rack can accommodate 10 sample tubes and it’s possible to pre-load up to 100 samples. All standard types of closed EDTA tubes will fit into the system.

single tube inlet Open or closed tubes, it’s up to the operator to decide. The instrument will automatic detect and accept both types.

shear valveTo have the highest precision on results there is a need to control the sampling volume. To get the same volume independent of external influence there is only one way to go - shear valve technology.

Boule has experience with this technology for many years with our well-known 3-part analyzers.

Big touch screenTo make the handling of the Quintus as user-friendly as possible there is a big 10.4 inch touch screen on the instrument. With the Windows-based software you can easily navigate in the system.

results

The result screen displays all 24 parameters, scatter and histograms. If you want to make a closer inspection at one of the scatter or histograms, just touch the screen and the image will be zoomed. With the result bar the operator can, at a glance, see if the results are within range or not. The integrated workstation has the capacity to store up to 100,000 sample files in the database, all easily accessed with the search function.

quality management

To verify the systems performance, control material should be analyzed on a frequent basis. Quintus has advanced functions for quality assurance built into the software with Levey-Jennings charts and XB function.

technical Characteristics

ReagentsQuintus has a protected reagent system with specially designed diluting and lysing reagents. Quintus Diluent is used for both diluting the sample and focusing the stream of WBC in the flow cell. Quintus Lyse 5-Part for hemolyzing RBC, releasing HGB and enabling the 5-part WBC diff. Quintus Lyse Stopper is for stopping the WBC lysing process.

The instrument only needs 3 reagents for the benefit of easy logistics and low running costs.

For environmental and safety reasons Quintus only uses cyanide-free lysing reagents.

controls and calibratorsAs one important element of a complete hematology system, we also provide control and calibrator material of the highest quality.

By using barcodes for handling and registering the material and their assay values, it is easy to use and 100 % secure.

cleaners The maintenance of Quintus is kept at a minimum level, but to avoid build-up of proteins we recommend that our cleaning solutions are used to maintain the instrument in perfect condition.
