Who is José Martí? Why do schoolchildren all over Cuba know his name and can recite his poetry?

1. Read the information inside the folder.

2. On youtube.com, look up the song “Guantanamera” which was based on some of his poetry.

3. Create a biographical poster which shares what you’ve learned with others.

4. The poster should have at least five pictures and 12-15 pieces of information, in bullet form.

5. The poster should include one or more of his poems.

6. Creating the poster in Spanish would earn more points. (10-15 pts.)
