HOW TO - 3 KEY ACTIONS FOR ADMINS

We’ve written this Quick-Start Guide for those of you who are Administrators of your Accompa system.

This guide will show you how to perform the 3 key actions Administrators most frequently perform:

1. Add New Users2. Customize Your Accompa System3. Set Up Business Rules

1. Add New UsersTo add a new user, login using an account that has one of the following two privileges:

• Administrator• Administrator (with billing)

Click ‘Settings” menu and select “Manage Users” option as shown in Figure 1.a.

In the resulting page, click “Actions” in the right-hand side and in the resulting menu select “Add New User” option as shown in Figure 1.b.

This will take you to “Add User” page—where simply complete the required fields, and click ‘Save’ button when you’re done. It is that easy!

2. Customize AccompaOne of the most powerful features of Accompa is the ability to create Custom Fields and Custom Objects to fit the unique needs of your own organization.

To customize Accompa, login using an account that has one of the following two privileges:

• Administrator• Administrator (with billing)

Click “Settings” menu and select “Customize Accompa” option as shown in Figure 2.a.

In the resulting page, as shown in Figure 2.b—click the desired links and follow on-screen instructions to customize your Accompa system.

HOW TO - 3 KEY ACTIONS FOR ADMINS

Here are some of the things you can do to customize your Accompa system:

• Add ten different types of custom fields (such as Text, Picklist, Number, Email, etc)

• Edit existing fields• Rearrange the order in which the fields appear in “Add

Requirement” page• Designate fields as “Required” or “Optional” • Choose between “Simple Mode” and “Advanced Mode” to

decide which Standard Objects you’d like to use• Add additional objects to your system

3. Set Up Business Rules

“Triggers” is a powerful feature in Accompa that helps you define business rules to automatically execute an action in response to the creation, deletion, or update of any record in Accompa.

For example, if you want to send an automatic email to an employee or a group of employees when a requirement is created or completed, you can set up a trigger to do that.

Triggers are extremely helpful in streamlining your work-flow. Your Accompa account comes with the ability to add triggers to both Standard Objects and Custom Objects.

To create Triggers in Accompa, login using an account that has one of the following two privileges:

Click “Settings” menu and select “Business Rules” option as shown in Figure 3.a.

In the resulting page, as shown in Figure 3.b—click the desired links and follow on-screen instructions to create and manage Triggers for your Accompa system.
