Select Core
Select Lotus Notes Add-on
Select email and Collaboration
Select Symphony
Unpack (and rename)
Install – start VMWare desktop
Vmware start view
File – New – Virtual machine
Change name to LotusFoundations
T60 (my machine) – 2 cores
Set to 2Gb (my machine has 3Gb) Foundations will run on a LOT less
Bridged
My local test environment
Keep Default
Create New Virtual Disk
Create SCSI Disks
Set Disk size to 12GBSplit disk into 2Gb chunks
Change File (Disk) name
Success
Lotus Foundations Virtual Machine
Select “Edit virtual Machine Settings”
Edit Virtual Machine
Click Add
Select Hard disk
Create a vitual disk
Select SCSI
Split disk into 2Gb files (easier to manage the vm images)
Rename to disk2.vmdk
Two disks, disk1 install, disk2 = backup
Select CD-ROM
Use ISO image you downloaded
Navigate to Foundation ISO Image
Click on OK
Select “Start:
Vmware starts
Press 1, then enter
Lots of Screens - wait
Lots of Screens - wait
Press ENTER to begin…_
Press Enter
Console
Take Note of Details
• Servername: earthquake7.weavernet.null• Webconfig: https://9.191.3.79:8043• (this is for my installation, your IP address
will be different)• DHCP: disabled
Type in Webconfig URL and it (may) fails.Add an exception (blue text) – Get certificate –
Confirm Security Exception
You are In!!Accept terms
Accept more terms
Create Admin Account (trial mode = no activation key) – save changes
Admin Account Created
Login to admin account
Look at Web Configuration
Look at Web Configuration
Configure disk#1 as standalone disk
Lotus of cautions – click update status and wait

Install Additional Packages
Navigate to My Documents
Map Drive
Map Drive
You have successfully accessed Lotus Foundations file system
Navigate to add-on packages you have downloaded (on your PC)
Copy into autoinstall directory in foundations file system
When copy has finished it looks like this
You have lots of packages to install
Lotus Symphony 1.0 for Lotus Foundations Start
Click on install
DAMO for Lotus Foundations Start
Select install
You can see that Damo and Symphony have been installed
Install Lotus Notes
