ACCESS HANDSHAKE: without eWeber https://weber.joinhandshake.com/login • Once on the login page, click “Sign up for an Account” under the yellow Handshake icon. • Then click “Student / Alumni” under what type of account you want to create. • Enter the required information fields and submit your account request. *Note: For approval of your account, send an email to [email protected], and let us know you have signed up for Handshake. 2. COMPLETE YOUR PERSONAL PROFILE... Select the drop down arrow next to your name in the upper right corner. From the drop down menu, select “My Profile” and begin to add and edit your profile information to gain the most from Handshake. 3. UPLOADING YOUR RESUME & OTHER DOCS... • Select your name in the upper right hand corner of the main homepage and click on “My Profile”. • To fill in your profile with your existing resume: click on “Upload Resume” in the green box under your profile overview. Follow the prompts to complete uploading your resume. You will then be able to “Add” and “Edit” the information from your resume onto your profile. • To upload documents to your profile: Click on “Documents” under the dropdown next to your name in the upper right corner of the screen, then click “Select from Computer”. Edit your Document Name and select the Document Type. Click “Add Document” when you are ready to upload the file. • You can always Edit or Delete your documents by choosing the document you wish to change and select the appropriate box. You can also “Build Profile from Resume”, if you have not already done so. • Use this method to upload cover letters, transcripts, and projects using the above steps.

ON THE HOME PAGE ...FOR YOU – The “For You” tab of Handshake works like the News Feed within Linkedin. Here, you can view jobs you have added to your favorites, recommended jobs for you, and breakouts of jobs by a variety of topics (i.e. nightlife, travel, popularity, trending, ect.)

JOBS – The “Jobs” tab leads you to a listing of all jobs available to Weber State students and alumni. This tab contains detailed job descriptions, responsibilities, requirements, as well as a description of the company. It is truly your “one-stop-shop” for your job search.

EVENTS – The “Events” tab shows upcoming career fairs and career service events. You can also keep track of your appointments and workshops through this tab.

CAREER CENTER – The “Career Center” tab is a comprehensive collection of task within Handshake. From this tab, you can schedule an appointment with Brett Merrell, Director of Business Career Services, and view Weber State University’s Handshake page

By joining Handshake, you will also receive weekly emails highlighting job opportunities. If you would like to receive these emails, please make sure that “@mail.joinhandshake.com” has been added to your “allowed” incoming email list.
