Fifty more questions to aid reflectionThe following questions could be considered as a starting point for reflection prompts to included as leading

questions for student self-assessment/tutor dialogues. Imagine that each time students handed in anassignment for marking (essay, report, problems-sheet solutions), or undertook any other assessed task

(dissertation, field-work report, presentation), they were asked to reflect upon what they had ust done, and

e!idence their reflection by answering some well-chosen questions about how they felt at that time about

what they"d done. These questions could be con!eniently spaced out on a pro-forma of no more than two

sides of #$, or the equi!alent on a web-based questionnaire.

%learly, the number of questions used would need to be limited to (say) at most ten per assignment, and itwould be appropriate to use different ones for each assignment, so that students did not ust go into &surface"
