Question one Craig- For our film is a combination of thriller and noir, and we used different conventions from different real media text. For example we used our convention research post that we made to help guide us to what we put into our film, so we used the typical cloths that were in noir films in our final film. However originally we decided to do a horror noir film, but we found it too difficult to add the horror effect in the final product. So we had to change the genre to just noir and this made it much easier to film, then we decided to add a thriller effect turning it into a combination of thriller and noir. However as we didn’t have any research on the thriller we then had to use the thriller aspects that were in the real media texts that we compared it to, to help us understand what was in a thriller. So as I compared the final product to the TV shows “Gotham” Tom- Casino royal talk about the comparisons to our film and how this affected our film. Talk about any shots that you wanted to have but couldn’t such as the birds eye view shot. You could also talk about the soundscape that was in kick ass 2 for the gun, compared to what we did. Ben- Talk about the mad men analysis and say how you would have liked to use some of these shots in our film. Say if any shots or sounds have been used. Alex- Talk about the nightmare on elm street analysis and say what type of shots that are used in that opening film and say if they have been used in our film as well as the soundscape. I could also talk about the theme/feel of the untouchables film as that is noir. However I will have to explain that we changed the genre.
