Adobe Photoshop

For example, I had never really used the clipping path on Photoshop before editing images for my magazine, once I got the hang of using this tool I found it very useful. I edited this picture using the clipping path to remove the background as it was an off white colour which I wasn’t happy with, therefore I used the clipping path to remove that background to replace it with a white background. I am really happy that I learnt how to use the clipping path as it was very important that my cover image was edited to the best standard that I could as it makes a very big effect as to how the overall finished product looks.

I had already used Adobe Photoshop in the past, but when creating my magazine, I gained some new skills on Photoshop.

With Photoshop I have been able to edit my image and make it very bright and colourful but also have the white background. Both of these things work really well with the colours, text and other images that are on my cover.

InDesign

I had never used InDesign before so the software was completely new to me when doing my preliminary task. I soon got the hang of it by the time I came to do my music magazine designs.

Apart from Photo shop, InDesign was the only other program that I used to create the three products.

I learnt lots of skills such as learning how to align objects, use a variety of different fonts to make my magazine unique, fun and ‘girly’. This allowed me to create a organized and professional looking magazine.

ImovieI had never used Imovie before so I had to get used to it but eventually I found it easier. I used this to create a movie for question 4, as this question is asking about what type of audience I thought it would be easier to show this in a visual way.

This has given me some new skills on movie making!
