5.How did you attract/address your audience?

Throughout the building of my magazine I employed various different techniques in order to attract my target audience. Whilst doing this I had to bear in mind what my target audience like, and what they would want to see in a magazine that they would buy.

5.How did you attract/address your audience?

The bold and simple masthead attracted my audience. They like stylish and for it to be different such as Clash/Wire. This is compared to the typical red masthead such as NME/Q.

The use of ‘Special Issue’ attracts the audience because it shows that this one is different and there is something ‘special’ which they should see.

The use of the obscure bands attracts the sort of audience I wanted. People who like these bands would read the magazine.

This would attract the audience I wanted as it more stylish and mature than to put ‘Free Gift!’. It is also mysterious so people would buy the magazine for this reason.

The alternative text used here symbolises the band which is featuring in the magazine. It is also bold and straight away people who like this band would buy the magazine to read about them.

The model represents the main band that are featuring. The audience want to see someone they can relate to. Using alternative clothing I feel this would work.

The use of the main feature smiling intrigues the audience into why they are smiling.

The use of sub writing teases the audience about that specific area

Employing photos of the other artists attracts the audience they get an idea about that article.Using ‘Fashion’

attracts other types of people not just those who want to read about music. The features area gives an inner view to what's new every month.

Intrigues the audience about new bands so they read on.

Having a regular area keeps people buying the magazine.

5.How did you attract/address your audience?

Dedicating the whole page to the band means that when the target audience turn to the page they automatically get draw in because of the image being so big.

The use of the bold writing helps the audience easily recognise who the band is clear and easy to read.

The interview helps to attract the audience as it gives an insight into the band so people want to read it to find out about them.

The outfits of the band stick to basic mainly darker/plain colours which help portray the mood and the use of skinny jeans, patterned t-shirt and jackets helps this and attracts the audience.
