Question 4 – Target audience

The target audience for my magazine would be mainly males between the ages of 16 and 25, the genre is aimed at this age group because of the rebellious nature and how loud it is. Young males are attracted to bright colours and aggressive music this is why they appeal to it more.

The rock genre is represented as a male type of music there are barely any female artists in the genre. The male gender are attracted to it a lot more because of the incontrollable aspects that it has.

The psychographics and the audiences interests in the rock genre, I have made my magazine revolve around the music and the looks area of the genre, so the looks involving clothes, make-up and hair and music being band tours, new albums and band stories.
